Trouble breathing 6 months post op - should I be concerned?

If Afrin nasal spray is helping you breathe better, you nearly certainly do have a turbinate problem. If you had your nose made smaller with your rhinoplasty, sometimes the turbinates play a larger role in causing nasal Airway obstruction. Hello! Greetings from Istanbul. Thank you for your question.After rhinoplasty surgery it is normal to have some breathing issue during the healing process. Usually it should go away within a few weeks (or months) depending on the patient. I recommend you to go check with an ENT doctor, there might be cartilage mooving.

Turbinate swelling is not a part of rhinoplasty unless you had septoturbinoplasty together with rhinoplasty. Even though you had turbinate surgery, at 6 months postop, the turbinate healing is almost stopped. So it is better to get an opinion from nearby otolaryngologist regarding your breathing problem.
