The difference between the two implants is very subtle. For instance, the difference in projection between the 275 cc moderate profile and the 325 cc full profile implant is just a little over a half a centimeter (.7cm). I find that VECTRA 3 dimentional imaging is very helpful in the preooperative evaluation. The images give you a fairly accurate and objective comparison of how your breasts will look with the different implants in place, no matter how subtle the difference.

I highly recommend a moderate profile for a dual plane 1 (below the muscle) breast augmentation. The higher profile implants were originally created for breast reconstruction patients because the entire breast is removed. Higher profile implants tend to look more round and have a more "stuck on coconut" look.

After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. Small variations in projection are not relevant (less than 10 mm difference between those two implants). What's more important to me is that you and your surgeon seem to be using cup size as a means of selecting implant size, which is not a good idea; it is too prone to error and increases the risk of re-operation. Instead, you should be sized in the office with purpose built sizers to allow you to see yourself in real time in the mirror with clothing on. This is the best way to reduce your risk of wrong size surgery.

It is really difficult to answer your question as there is a lot that goes into sizing our patients. We perform measurements, evaluate the skin envelope elasticity, look at photos, look at diagrams and finally use the Allergan sizing system to size the patient in the office. We obviously listen and discuss exactly what the patient wants and doesn’t want so that we can deliver the expected results.
Your best path to determine what size or profile would be to discuss your options further with your surgeon. Review after photos together and go thru explaining to your surgeon what look you are trying to achieve. Make certain the surgeon you choose has great deal of experience in breast implant surgeries.

Thank you for posting your question here!Implant sizing is a very tricky issue and depends on many factors . profile is only one of them , volume , width and patient's goals are other factors that are taken into consideration, it is hard to decide on which implant is best for you without an exam or at least standardized imaging.
I would say the diameter seems appropriate for your chest and goals , and the fact that there isn't much difference in that between the two diameters makes it sound that you will not have an upper pole advantage by having a moderate profile implant unless you went with a similar volume for both (moderate comes in 310-330 ml, but that will increase the width to 12-12.25 So if your surgeon deemed that to be too wide I wouldn't go for it), so the biggest factor will be the projection , the full profile will give you more projection (4.6 cm vs 3.9 for the moderate) , so if that is your goal then this might be the right implant for you . but again I cannot give you a definitive answer based on the information provided , if you have doubts I would encourage you to discuss them with your surgeon.

This question is really dependent on what your goal is, aesthetically speaking. Your surgeon has correctly noted that respecting your natural anatomy and dimensions is a key to getting a natural result. the difference in projection between these two implants is 3.9 vs 4.6 CM. This can be difficult for patients to visualize how this will translate on their own body and is dependent on their starting anatomy and amount of native breast tissue. I encourage all of my breast augmentation patients to look at ASPS resources for before and afters to find patients who are a similar build to find inspiration photos to ensure we are targeting the look you are striving for. Additionally, 3D softwares such a Vectra or Crisalix are used by many surgeons to provide accurate simulations of particular implants using your own photos.

I do not think the 325 cc implant will be too full, but you could go down to 300 cc's and split the difference.
