Hi I’m 160 5’1. I’m interested in making my booty a bit more fuller & fill in my hip dips. I want it done once. I really don’t want to get a touch up if I loose fat. I have a few weeks before surgery and need to decide. Everyone said I don’t need to touch my bottom I’m so confused thanks for your help

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You are a good candidate for 360 Lipo with BBL. The decision to transfer fat and the amount of fat transfer or projection is completely up to you. Some of the the fat will not survive long term and you may need a touch up - but this too is also optional and not mandatory.

Your question is a bit vague and it’s uncertain what you’re trying to achieve or what you’re even asking for.
Your question states: can I lose transferred fat in hip dips transfer and do I even need BBL?
A significant percentage of transferred fat will not survive and all patients lose some of the Grafton fat. This is generally taken into consideration when doing the procedure and most providers will over graft to some degree to compensate for this.
You haven’t really explain to us what you’re trying to achieve.
My goal in body contouring is usually to establish a smooth even continuous S-curve that goes from the armpit all the way to the knees.
To assess someone I want to see the adjacent areas and this means standard photos from the front, side and back standing in a neutral position in undergarments. The buttocks only looks the way it does in context to how the rest of the torso and lower extremities look.
The best advice I can give you is this.
Delivering consistent quality results when it comes to liposuction and fat transfer is far more difficult than most people think. The number of plastic surgeons of truly mastered body contouring is relatively small.
Being board-certified in plastic surgery with an overall good reputation does not mean someone has mastered body contouring.
 Liposuction and to some degree of fat transfer results are permanent and irreversible.
If not done correctly patients can be not only disappointed but be left disfigured.
My best advice for you is to put in a serious effort into making sure you found the most talented and experienced provider.
Typically when you’re in the hands having a consultation with someone who clearly knows what they’re doing the explanation and indication for the procedure and what needs and should be done becomes very clear.
A good provider will listen understand your needs and explain the solution clearly.
More than anything is getting confirmation that the provider can deliver the type of results you’re looking for.
The only way to do that is to have an in person consultation at which time you should ask the provider to open up their entire portfolio or before and after pictures and look at as many pictures as possible.
Simply seeing a handful of pre-selected pictures which most likely represent the best results of the providers career is insufficient to get any type of understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider.
This is why patients need to look at as many before and after pictures as possible. Ask the provider to show as many pictures as they can find of patients with similar body characteristics to your own.
An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 sets of quality before and after pictures at a minimum.
Ask the provider to show you examples of excellent out s, average outcomes and less than outcomes. Confirm that any fat transfer result picture was taken at least three months from the date of the procedure. early fat transfer results can look very impressive but do not at all represent final results.
For Liposuction results scrutinize each and every picture carefully looking for any evidence of contour irregularities on the skin.
Asked the provider to review what areas for treated and what areas were not treated and look at transition zones from treated to untreated areas.
Continue having consultations until you feel quite certain you found someone who has clearly mastered this procedure.
All plastic surgeons will claim that they have a lot of experience with Liposuction and this is probably true. They will usually claim that they’re quite good at it because they have so much experience. doing a lot of the same thing isn’t helpful unless someone improves at their skill. Truly mastering this procedure is much more difficult than people believe.
People also have very different views on what looks good. There’s plenty of plastic surgeons who for example cannot draw an attractive body or sculpt one out of clay.
The BBL also has a fair share of providers who have unusual understandings of what’s attractive and what a human buttocks should look like. there’s so much of a trend to create caricature looking buttocks by purposely doing liposuction of the thigh creating what I call the “lollipop look”. It’s fairly unfortunate, in my opinion on attractive and very difficult to correct once done.
My recommendation for patients who have any doubts it’s a slow down and schedule more consultations.
Continue properly vetting plastic surgeons until you feel confident you’re in the hands of the right provider.
The question isn’t so much if you should have a certain procedure but instead who should be doing the procedure.
The variation among different providers is massive and this is by far the most important decision.
