Hi I have 300cc buttock implants and I’d like more fullness . I don’t want to go through all the pain and inconvenience of upsizing my implants , which are settled now healing wise . Could I have fat transfer subcutaneously over the top of the muscle ( implants are intramuscular) ? Will it last ? I know you lose on average 50% of a BBL at least . Some surgeons I’ve consulted with have told me fat transfer is a waste of money, others say it can last .

Answer: Fat transfer Dear Frisk123, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, it is possible to get fat transfer after butt implants. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Fat transfer over gluteal implants You can definitely have fat transfer over gluteal implants. As long as the implants are not causing any problems and you’re not trying to conceal the edges of the implants with fat transfer because that tends to not work well. If you’re happy with the implants and just want more volume than fat transfer should be a reasonable option. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
