I'm considering getting a chin implant, but am also considering pursuing a career flying in the military. Are chin implants able to physically withstand the G-forces induced when flying aircraft without moving/migrating?

Answer: Yes. If done correctly a chin implant should be solid and not move. It will take a surgeon to move it. Not even blunt trauma should do it. I do these right in the office in about 15 minutes.

Answer: Wondering how much force a chin implant handle A chin implant is placed underneath the periosteum directly over the bone and once healed, it is totally not gonna get dislodged from flying an airplane with high-G forces. In our practice, we insert chin implants under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure which takes about 30 minutes
