Will harvesting of conchal cartilage from my ears affect hearing in any way, even if small?

ucdavisgirl
I work in sound design for film and I need to have revision rhinoplasty. The two surgeons I met said both ears need to be harvest for conchal cartlidge and possible other areas of the ear. They say this won’t affect appearance, but what about hearing? It’s there for a reason right? To bounce sound off of? Will it make my ear feel softer and more flimsy? There isn’t a ton of info on this exact saying the structure remains intact. Would appreciate advice on this. Thank you.
