Cartilage is hanging in the nostril causing my nose to be unsymmetrical. I also have breathing issues. I think my nose is still deviated and maybe collapsed nasal valves. I also feel like it doesn't fit my face. Can I please get opinions? I want to get another surgery but I'm concerned about how complicated the procedure is to fix my nose and what the revision rate of the procedure would be. Also, not sure who the best surgeon would be to fix this! Please help! Thank you!! (:
Answer: Revision rhinoplasty: things you should know Thank you for your question and photos. I’m sorry the results of your initial rhinoplasty were unsatisfactory, but the issues you’re referring to can be corrected with a revision. In your case, this may involve shaving down the dorsal hump and defining the tip for a result that is balanced with the rest of your facial features. Since each subsequent nose surgery becomes more complex due to the loss of structural support, scar tissue, and other factors, the importance of experience, expertise, and artistry cannot be overstated. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon, with expertise in rhinoplasty techniques. They will be able to review your surgical history, discuss your aesthetic and breathing concerns with you, and help you decide on the best course of action.

Answer: Revision for a wide nose and overprojected, droopy tip. Depending upon your condition, revision rhinoplasty may be considered for achieving a narrower nasal appearance, with tip deprojection and rotation and profile contouring. Your candidacy for revision would require an examination, and we like to review operative reports and preop photos. They may be helpful! Wishing you the best. Dr Joseph

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty... Based on your photos, you are a great candidate for revision rhinoplasty. The tip appears to be a bit long and droopy and you still have a small bump. During a revision, the tip could be lifted and shortened a bit, while reinforcing it to improve your breathing. The best surgeon to do this would be a rhinoplasty expert with significant experience with revisions.

Answer: I had a rhinoplasty 13 months ago From the photographs presented, your nose looks very good with the exception of the residual dorsal hump and high glabella. This can be shaved down, and will probably require osteotomies. Best to follow up with your operative surgeon since they know what was done in the first procedure. A double board-certified ENT/facial plastic surgeon should be able to address internal breathing issues as well as cosmetic issues. Revision rhinoplasty it Is less predictable, and more complicated than a primary rhinoplasty.
