I had Ultherapy on upper 3rd portion of my face yesterday. Did I ruin my cheekbones/lower lids?

My right side is definitely way more swollen than my left. When I smile my cheekbones raise so much and are protruding out. I haven't had any fillers, only Botox 2 months ago for forehead/glabella and crows. I'm wondering if when the swelling goes down (which I'm praying it's all temporary swelling) that my right lower lid area is going to be more tightened than my left (L side has less swelling)? My eyes have always had mild/low moderate hollowness d/t genetics.

Ultherapy results are best seen after 4 to 6 months and not the very next day. What you might be noticing is probably due to either due to an underlying bruising or just a simple swelling. Hope you have taken the photos before the procedure so that you can see the results after few months. Everyone has asymmetry in their facial features and most people will only notice after they have had some procedures. Most physicians will discuss about these differences before they perform the procedure.

You most likely have swelling from the procedure which will take a couple of weeks to resolve. Results of Ultherapy will not be seen until 3-6 months after the treatment. You should follow up with your physician during that time and compare full face before and after pictures. Best wishes.

I wouldn't worry at this stage as it is entirely normal and expected to have swelling after ultherapy. Either side of yours and everyones faces react differently as there will be differences in the anatomy. Continue to follow your therapist's post care and advice and look forward to your results.

Ulthera uses ultrasound energy to tighten muscles and skin.  The results take about four months to see.  Therefore, anything you are experiencing within several days of the treatment is not permanent and is simply some inflammation from the heat.  You can put cool compresses on the swollen areas.  I do not recommend taking ibuprofen, Motrin or Advil, because your body's inflammatory response to the heat is necessary in order to get good results.  If you feel as though you need something for pain, Tylenol is a good option.

The specialist who performed Ultherapy will also re-inforce ad reassure that this is inflammation. This will settle in the next week or so.
