When can you ride a rollercoaster and other jerk-y type and high G-force rides after rhinoplasty w/out damaging cosmetic results? For that matter, when might it be safe to go on water slides again? Thanks! Also when is it safe to go swimming?

Answer: G-force activities Post-operative instructions will vary depending on your surgeon and type of rhinoplasty you had. I prefer my patients to refrain from any strenuous or high motion or water pressure for at least 4 weeks. The biggest concern for your activities such as swimming or water slides is to avoid any trauma to your nose which can also be caused by headgear such as googles or snorkels. You can address the specific details of your plans with your surgeon to get his or her restrictions for those particular activities. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MD Plastic Surgery
