I have posted before as I am very uneasy with my results. I am 2 months post op and cannot wrap my head around the drastic changes . I was very clear with my surgeon that I wanted minimal changes and he didn't keep it minimal. I need to know what are my options to regain my dorsal hump close to how it was and my tip similar to before. I regret this change and would prefer to look like my old self. Friends and family have said I changed dramatically and it's not for the better.
Answer: Rhinoplasty healing time Dear question4rhino,Healing time after rhinoplasty typically takes at least one year. Over that time swelling will resolve, internal scarring will have completed and things will begin to relax. Also, for some patients, it takes a while to get used to the new look. It is a change that sometimes affects your self identity, as you look in the mirror and don't recognize yourself. This is a psychological adjustment that may take some time. When you look in the mirror actively tell yourself that this is you. It will help with the assimilation of your new appearance into your self image. If after one year you remain dissatisfied, a dorsal hump can likely be recreated. Your friends and will love you for who you are, not what your nose looks like. Good luck!

CONTACT NOW Answer: Wait time Hello,I am sorry that you are unhappy with your results. I would advice that you wait until about 1 year after your initial rhinoplasty before you consider altering it. This will give you time to adjust to the changes to your nose and really evaluate if you want the change. A change that can be considered is to inject a filler into your nose to provide a small dorsal hump like the one you previously had. The tip will take the longest to heal, and it should drop 1-2mm by the end of the first year. All the best, Deepak Dugar, MDScarless Rhinoplasty ExpertBeverly Hills, CA 90210

Answer: Why don't I love my rhinoplasty results? Thank you for your pictures and your question. When a patient doesn't like their results after any surgery there is often several reasons. The first and possibly the most important reason is that they haven't yet adjusted to the new look and this will take time. The second reason is that the results are not as good as they could be and the patient is unhappy, but doesn't understand why. I think you should wait 6 months to a year to allow the swelling to go away and also see if you start liking the results. In the mean time let's analyze the changes that we see on your pictures now and if you really think you would like to reverse those changes. I see that your hump has been reduce and I think this is a positive change that you probably wouldn't want to reverse. I also see that your tip is less bulbous and I think you probably wouldn't want to reverse that either. I notice that there is some supertip fullness that could get better with time, but if it didn't, you might want to try to improve that. The other thing I notice is that the angle between your columella and your upper lip is more open. This makes your tip a bit higher and your nose shorter. If this doesn't get better with time, it would be reasonable to want to change that. So you see, it might not be true that you want to go back to your old nose, but simply improve a few things. I hope this helps resolve your problem for the time being. Remember all this writing is based on a couple of pictures and an in person exam is needed to validate these findings.

Answer: Rhinoplasty result There is still a lot of swelling and the tip has yet to drop. Have patience and do nothing for a year. You may feel more comfortable with the result in a few months.
