My stomach looks bigger after breast augmentation.

It is unusual to experience the degree of back pain you describe as well as your abdomen looking bigger. Best advice is to notify your plastic surgeon so they can evaluate you for the issues.

Thank you for your question. It is unusual to have severe pain 6 days after breast reduction. Mild soreness is more common.  Abdominal bloating could be related to fluid retention, constipation from opiate pain medications, etc. This can be managed with stool softeners, walking, high fiber diet.  I recommend that you talk to your plastic surgeon for your pain so that they can assess you. Hi there, Thank you for your question. Yes, it is normal to have some bloating after Breast Augmentation from the surgery, antibiotics and constipation from the pain killers. Speak with your surgeon in regards to treatment. Should pass in a week or so. Best, realdrsix

but bad constipation can make your tummy bulge and I hope your bowels are working well.  And if not, you should see your surgeon for advice on how to deal with this.  If you just have swelling, it will go away.  If your bowels aren't working (either constipation or ileus from anesthesia), you must get them working again.

The pain medication that you are taking could be the cause of your abdominal bloating. They tend to constipate people and cause a buildup of gas. If you could wean off of those it will help you. Back pain is unusual following this procedure and may be more appropriately treated with advil if your surgeon does not mind you taking that on day six. I would not mind it in my patients, but I would urge you to call your surgeon and make sure.

Your pain level sounds more concerning than your stomach appearance. You should definitely contact your plastic surgeon about the level of pain you're having. That much pain in the back that is requiring painkillers? It's a bit unusual. Painkillers cause constipation and bloating so that might be the reason behind your abdominal appearance. Possibly even some swelling from the breast augmentation may have At any rate, you need to contact your surgeon and share these concerns as soon as possible. 

HI- thanks for your question.  The amount of back pain and abdominal swelling you are describing is unusual, but may be due to swelling from your surgery or constipation from your narcotic pain killers.  You should be evaluated by your surgeon.
