I am getting a small blue under eye vein treated with sclerotherapy. I am also planning on getting filler injected under my eyes to treat the hallowness/darkness that I have. How long should I wait to get the filler injected after the sclerotherapy treatment? Is it safe to inject filler after the treatment? Thanks!

Answer: Sclerotherapy and filler I would recommend waiting until the swelling and any bruising has resolved from the sclerotherapy before using filler. This will allow the tissue volume to settle so you have an accurate blueprint of what areas require filler. Hope this helps! Johnson C. Lee, MD Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Under Eye Filler and Sclerotherapy Hi Crystal and thank you for posting your question. I would consult with your injector and provider that will be performing sclerotherapy on you for their opinion. Filler is safe to inject after the treatment but a buffer window of at least two weeks is recommended. Best, Chester Griffiths, MD, FACS
