Dr. Chester Griffiths was wonderful. Wonderful manner and bright sunny smile. Nothing is a problem. He did my husbands second sinus surgery in which he had to go very close to his brain and it was totally successful, and it changed my husbands life. So why would I look anywhere else for a plastic surgeon. I had a lower third facelift. I have lost my jowls, and all that sloppy extra skin around the bottom of my face and my neck, and yet I still look totally like me, just a better and younger me. I am so grateful to Dr. Griffiths. He has been wonderful in all the follow ups and it has been such a privilege to know him. The office has always been wonderful, particularly Robbie, Austin, Ashley, Elizabeth… a lot of really caring lovely people. I did not find the surgery painful but I was surprised about how much 'work' the recovery was..... weeks of icing and compression, and then 2 months of nighttime compression. I am very very happy with the result and would totally recommend the wonderful Dr. Chester Griffiths to anyone.
Sometimes you may find a doctor that is professional, so incredibly qualified and experienced (maybe even revered for giving back to the community), and takes time to consider what you want, what is best for you and balances the medical with an incredible aesthetic artistry - poetry for your face. I went to see Dr. Griffiths in despair. My nose had collapsed. My headaches and sinus discomfort was near a crescendo and I didn't know what was possible. I couldn't bear the thought of a traditional cookie-cutter rhinoplasty to repair the damage, restore my nose to an actual nose and not a collapsed droopy sad mess tilting down. More than a little claustrophobic, I wasn't sure I could endure a traditional CAT scan which was necessary to understand both the structure and the medical problems. In the office, there is a dedicated CAT scan for nasal problems (and sinus) which lets one sit up straight while the device - completely open, no in and out at all, spins around one's head. Such incredible relief. There was a lot of "stuff", completely blocked and then my nose, which looked like I'd gone 12 rounds with a heavy-weight boxer, was medically collapsed. Dr. Griffiths booked me for a surgery, and the staff, so understanding, booked me for the soonest appointment, the first of the day. I had the necessary exam by my internist and was cleared for surgery. I arrived on time, and a nurse tucked me into the bed/table, making sure I was quite warm and relaxed. The anesthesiologist, friendly and professional which is the absolute most reassuring thing, explained what would happen, and then I counted backwards from ten and fell asleep. I woke up easily, no nausea, and got dressed. A light bandage/cast on my nose, no hangover from surgery at all and no bruising which was amazing. I went home, comfortable, and took a nap, waking up to have something to eat. Returning to the office in a couple of days, still no swelling or bruises and loving, just loving, the way my nose looked under the profile - not collapsed, far more feminine and breathing easily. The bandage/cast was removed in about a week or so, and my fears that this would let my nose collapse again were completely silly - it looked so good still. Dr. Griffiths is a happy doctor, attentive, listening patiently to my questions and reassuring completely. This was simply the best, and easy, and so comfortable. The staff are smiling, courteous, understanding and attentive. My recommendation is almost lyrical because it truly was SO happy and easy.
Dr.Griffiths is amazing and corrected my deviated septum with exceptional skill. My recovery was VERY fast and I had little to no pain the entire time. I love my nose and highly recommend Dr.Griffiths! My nose looks so good and I can finally breathe with ease 24/7.
Dr. Griffiths and his staff offer a top of the line experience from beginning to end. My had a septoplasty/rhinoplasty and couldn't be more happy with the results. Dr. Griffiths was attentive and responsive to all needs after the surgery. The followup care and outcomes were as good as it gets. Dr. Griffiths is one of the most down to earth and genuinely caring physicians I have met.
Hello and thank you for your question. From the photos, it appears that the nostril asymmetry will still be there once the swelling goes down. Swelling can cause irregularities during the healing phase; however, it probably won't go down enough to improve to your desired symmetry. Around 50% of the swelling may have gone down at this point but it will take over a year for the remaining swelling to go down after a revision. You are unable to undergo another revision at least until one year after the last surgery. I recommend opening a line of communication with your surgeon expressing your concerns. Hello and thank you for your question. From the photos, you appear to have a very aesthetically pleasing nose considering the injury from the bite and the revisions. I would caution you to undergo another procedure to chase this issue. However, I do recommend consulting with multiple board certified facial plastic surgeons as an in-person assessment will maybe give them an opportunity to see the asymmetry you are concerned with that may not be as apparent in a 2-D photo. Perhaps a small amount of filler could address the asymmetry. With a liquid rhinoplasty comes risks as well. Seek a liquid rhinoplasty expert if you decide to go that route instead. Hello and thank you for your question. The results you desire are more difficult to obtain when it is a revision; however, you may able to get close to your goals. I recommend consulting with multiple board certified facial plastic surgeons- preferably revision specialists. Best, Chester Griffiths, MD, FACS
Hello and thank you for your question. A septorhinoplasty would be able to repair your deviated septum and straighten your nose. A septum alone will only improve the cartilage that separates the left and right nostril airways. Best, Chester Griffiths, MD, FACS
Hello and thank you for your question. I recommend opening a line of communication with your surgeon. As they have in-depth knowledge of the procedure performed on you, they will be better able to assist you on why this issue has occurred and has persisted. A consultation with an ENT for a second opinion would not hurt as well. Best, Chester Griffiths, MD, FACS
