I had breast reduction with lift and new implants done exactly one week ago. My fiancé came in to see about me and had been apart for over a month, so we had some pretty intense and tough sex for long periods of time. My boobs were very much bouncing up and down at high speed and much force. I was hurting after and worried. I looked up what could be the damage and I read hematoma or capsular contracture. I'm worried this will happen. Am I at high risk? When should I know if iis doing so or not?
Answer: Post op problems For the first 6 weeks it is very important to refrain from aggressive movements of the chest area. It is too early to determine if permanent damage has been done .

Answer: Be Kind To Your Breasts for a Few Weeks After Surgery In the first few weeks after surgery, the breast implants sit in a healing breast pocket. Trauma to the area can result in bleeding, increased bruising, and pain. Bleeding can lead to scar tissue formation, or capsular contracture. My hope is that you will luck-out and avoid these problems. If one of your breasts is more swollen or significantly more bruised than the other, or if they are both larger this week than prior to your breast trauma, I would see your PS. If may also be helpful to contact your PS and be examined to make sure that you are doing well.Hope this helps!

Answer: When instructions are not adhered to complications such a hematoma can develop. If your breasts are not changing in size or experiencing more pains, it likely that nothing is happening that needs attention. Contractures will not occur this sooner after your procedure. Understand your situation but such activities can lead to problems so you just have to decide what kinds of risks you are willing to take and whether having more urgent surgery from a hematoma is worth it to you as there are other ways to please your partner that don't involved your breasts. And if you have any concerns, you must let your surgeon know.

Answer: Hematoma and contracture after augmentation Dear Emily,This is a great question. It sounds like you may have overdone it soon after surgery. It is always best to see your plastic surgeon if you are in pain, especially given your experience. If you had a hematoma, one breast would appear bruised, and more swollen than the other. If everything appears otherwise normal, that is a great sign. Hematoma is a risk factor for capsular contracture, but we cannot say whether a bumpy postoperative course is, in itself, a risk factor. Ultimately, it is in your best interest to pay your surgeon a visit to ensure all is well, and to do your best to minimize strenuous activity for the next month or so.I hope this helps,
