I had a FUE hair transplant a 2 weeks ago and everything look good so far , I have done FUE hair transplant with 2300 grafts to achieve more density in my front half area and rebuild the hairline. I take propecia for 10 years and I wonder if it recommended to start use rogaine foam . what is your opinion about that ? when I can start to use it ? thanks
Answer: Rogaine foam after hair transplant I routinely start my patients after a transplant on Rogaine within 7 days of surgery unless there is a contraindication. You may begin Rogaine foam of course. However if you should notice any irritation, itching or inflammation upon using it, discontinue immediately. There is the potential for rogaine to reduce the chance of shock loss in both the donor and recipient areas if applied in these areas.

Answer: It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen. It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen. Rogaine likely will not help with the transplanted hair growth.

Answer: Rogaine foam after transplant You should definitely discuss post-operative care with your surgeon as each doctor will have different recommendations. Some doctors will allow Rogaine immediately after a transplant, while others will recommend that patients wait two weeks or longer before starting any topical treatments. In general, I usually recommend that patients wait at least one week after surgery before applying any topical treatments to speed hair growth or prevent further hair loss.Best,

Answer: Rogaine after Hair Transplants. Glad to hear your FUE procedure went well. You are two weeks out and can start Rogaine foam immediately. Rogaine will complement the Propecia you are taking and should help retain and strengthen your non transplanted hair. When you first start the Rogaine you may notice a slight increase in shedding. This is temporary and will resolve after a short time. Good luck!

Answer: Rogaine foam after FUE hair transplant? Thank you for the post and question. Being 2 weeks out of the procedure, you can use Topical Minoxidil, just make sure it is the liquid form. You do not want direct pressure on the scalp or the grafted areas with your hands. Try to use a 2 oz spray bottle, where you can apply it without direct force. Hope this helps.
