Had BBL in spring 2020. Can I resolve this diaper booty look? 196 pounds and 5'3 (photo)

I had a BBL in spring 2020 , and since then my inner gluteal fold looks awful. I had a little bit before the bbl but now it's big and not as appealing. What would you recommend I do to fix this? Also is it possible for me to get upper back and; arm lipo being 196 pounds and 5'3. (Obese) Thank you! Your answers are much appreciated!

Thank you for your question.  You are an excellent candidate for a thong lift.  It involves removing extra skin and tissue on the center and bottom of your buttock.  The scar generally heals  very nicely. Best wishes to you.

You are in good company with many others who had high hopes for BBL but instead received disappointing results (lumpiness, unevenness, lack of projection in the central and/or lower buttock, post-deflation sagging, etc.) as most of the fat melts away. It is not quite as much the quality of the doctor nor liposuction technique but rather the quality of the procedure that is a large part of the problem. Thus, going back for round 2 BBL most often produces the same disappointing results but at another financial loss. Buttock implants indeed provide a more reliable, predictable, relatively safe, and permanent result, especially for adding projection to the buttock and often smoothing out lumpiness. Occasionally a lower buttock tuck may be advantageous for lower buttock fold asymmetries and/or sagging. Please keep in mind that an extremely few number of board-certified plastic surgeons specialize in buttock implants so be sure to consult with one that is reputable and experienced. Unfortunately you may have to travel long and far away from home to find this particular surgeon. Glad to help.

You can definitely improve your buttock shape and size concerns by undergoing a BBL revision which require possible drainage of any pockets of fat from your medial butock and possible buttock tuck that is done from the top of your buttock. The dripping of the lower in our buttocks is not corrected with a BBL. It is a real response to loss of skin elasticity and structural support that some people get in this part of their body.

It is best corrected with the excision of skin as a “tuck” procedure.

The condition and its treatment is very well described by Dr. mendieta and a YouTube video called the Miami thong left. I suggest you watch that video and then start looking for plastic surgeons who have experience performing that procedure though it may be coined, named or termed differently.

When doing abdominal Liposuction I view the torso as a single anatomic unit and try to treat the entire torso on all patients in order to leave them with a natural even fat distribution. A full tour so technically includes upper abdomen, lower abdomen, love handles, waste, fullback and under arm area.  ideally your back and under arm area should’ve been included with the first procedure but you can definitely go back and have them treated now. Having the same fat distribution thickness on your entire torso would look much better. The best analogy are used for encouraging patients to treat their entire torso is that of painting a house. It makes little sense to paint three walls of a house and leave one wall unpainted.

Arms also give excellent liposuction results and I see no reason why you shouldn’t be able to get those treated.

If you’re happy with the surgeon who did your last procedure and follow up with him or her and get a consultation for treating the other areas.

Delivering consistent high-quality Liposuction results is more difficult than people believe and extremities can be challenging so I suggest putting in a solid effort in finding the most experienced and talented provider in your community.
