From your photo, you have beautiful and youthful eyes.  Procedures to raise the lower lid such as a canthopexy can look natural when done correctly.  However, I am not sure you have much to gain for the potential risks.  I would suggest a consultation with an oculplastic surgeon to discuss your options.

You have pretty eyes so not sure if you need anything. Canthoplasty can look very natural if done correctly and appropriately. Sometimes, lower eyelid retraction surgery (without or without internal graft) is needed to lift the whole lower eyelid. See an oculoplastic specialist.

The canthopexy option which involves using a permanent suture to elevate the lateral canthus by suturing it up the lateral orbital rim on the inside is the best option.  

I'm concerned about potential dysmorphia and unrealistic expectations regarding "ideal eyes". I believe any attempt to surgically change the shape of your eyes will be deforming.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not have surgery on your beautiful eyes! There may come a day when you age and would benefit from surgery, but I would strongly advise against trying to change the shape of your eyes now.If you feel motivated to do something I have seen beautiful results by placing Voluma along the lower lateral orbital rim, and this can result in a subtle raising of the lower lid. You should select a very experienced injector. There is far less risk using an approach like this rather than surgery.

You have beautiful eyes and I am not sure you will want to have surgery to change the eyes.I believe you are trying to change the medial part of your eyes where the eye meets the nose.This part is called the medial canthus. I recommend you meet an experienced oculoplastic surgeon in your area to talk about your goals and risks of procedures.Good luck!

I agree that surgical canthoplasty/canthopexy is your best bet. Surgery on the eyelids is not "one size fits all" and you definitely want to go to someone who is extremely experienced with eyelids and can do what it is that you desire. There are techniques that we use to close down the medial/nasal portion of your eyelid, but I have never used them for cosmetic purposes and I don't think you are a candidate for them. If you are truly against surgical correction, you may try a very soft HA filler to bulk up the "water bags" of your lower eyelids. This is very popular in Asian populations and if done right could bulk up the area so that your lateral sclera does not show as much. Best wishes to you!

More iris with less scleral show is a recipe for poor eyelid surgery. Can't say that I've ever had a request like yours, but I see a lot of post-op blepharoplasty patients  complaining of the same.  I would you never ask a plastic surgeon to perform such an operation on your very naturally attractive eyes. If you want to experiment with that look, have some scleral contact lenses fitted for Halloween.

Dear stephanie, You are not a candidate for eyelid surgery to change the shape of your eyes. The best way to change the shape of your eyes is to play with make up. Money well spent would be a few lessons with a make up artist and a few tricks should give you the looks you like. No surgery should be done and enjoy your make up brushes versus a surgeons scalpel!
