If I press hard on areas I have fillers will it move especially when getting extractions during facials?

I have Restylane Lyft on my nose and chin and also Voluma on my cheeks. I was wondering if i scrub my face or press hard on it if it would move? Also i get extractions during facials and my facialists presses really hard on my nose especially, will it make my fillers move?

Hello,All good feedback.  Generally, we ask all filler injection patients to wait a full two weeks before having facials, massages, or any other treatments that will cause pressure on the area of injection.  As mentioned, we are wanting the filler to have full integration with the tissue.  In addition, we do not want to cause unnecessary swelling or potential risks for skin infections.  We suggest making sure your esthetician exercises the least amount of pressure on the nose as possible. Regards

Thank you for your question. After dermal filler injections I recommend waiting 2 weeks prior to getting a facial with extractions. At that time the filler is integrated into the tissue and will not move out of place. Also after 2 weeks any post-injection swelling or bruising should be resolved. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question. Filler formulations integrate into the dermal tissue over time, so treatments like you are describing should not affect the result of your procedure. However, make sure the aesthetician you work with knows you have dermal fillers so they can proceed appropriately. Better yet, work with a board-certified dermatologist for all your skin needs to ensure all of your treatment work safely together.

I recommend waiting 24 - 72 hours after to get your treatment.For facial rejuvenation I would suggest a combination approach including:1) skin care with products and microneedling/PRP2) PDT Light Therapy a few times per month with growth factors3) laser treatments like Clear + Brilliant regularly and others (Fraxel, Viva, CO2, Erbium) a few times per year4) Sculptra injections a few times per year for collagen production with fillers like Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero, Radiesse, and/or Bellafill5) Thermage/Ultherapy for yearly skin tightening with or without PDO or cone-based Instalift threads for lifting6) Botox every 2 to 3 months to stop movement lines and prevent lines at rest

Thanks for your question.  It is not likely that the filler products would move if you wait at least a few days before pressing really hard on the areas and having extractions.  The hyaluronic acid fillers settle nicely into the skin, and once any swelling goes down, it would be pretty unusual for anyone to be able to displace them. You will want to wait a few days after fillers before having a facial with extractions.  At that time the filler should be settled into the tissues and will not move.  Normal gentle face washing will not move the product after injections.

Your filler will not be affected as long as it's been a few days since you got it before you do the facial.
