As long as you’re not having a severe break out under your chin, your cystic acne shouldn’t interfere with Kybella treatments. Kybella only affects fat. Your injector should be able to avoid the active lesions. Consulting a board-certified dermatologist will help you clear your acne and also eliminate your double chin
Acne will not affect kybella. There are many options for jawline contouring:1) implants2) fat or filler injections3) botox for masseter hypertrophy or platysma muscle/neck bands4) ThermiRF, J plasma, Thermage or Ultherapy skin tightening5) PDO Novathreads or instalift threads for lifting6) Neck or facelifting surgery7) liposuction to neck fatI suggest you see an expert to determine what is best for you. Although your acne extends to the jawline and just below it should not affect the treatment with Kybella. I prefer to treat the acne before using Kybella.
Kybella works below the skin so acne won’t interfere with your treatments. You have good skin elasticity which is important for Kybella
Dear SunshineANDfreckles,Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office. I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable. It also costs about the same as what you paid for your first kybella session. The liposuction can be done under local while awake in the office and recovery is about the same as kybella.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Kybella can be used in patients with chronic acne as long as the patients do not have an acute flare or active infections. The kybella should be injected through an area away from injections and since it in the fat layer, should not directly affect the acne in the dermis. That being said, the acne should be controlled withe medications or topical treatments prior to any Kybella treatments. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Hello,Kybella injections are under the skin so it should not affect the acne. Having said that, you need a formal in-office consultation to evaluate that.Looking at photo, the area is quite extensive and involving jawline too. Kybella may not be the best choice. you would need 3 sessions minimum, long recovery period, and yet may not offer optimum results.Liposuction with quick recovery under local anesthesia and takes care of chin and neck fat.All the BestRay Bayati, MDSacramento Area, California
It is to early to tell because kybella causes so much swelling. That is one reason i prefer liposuction. It takes one treatment and the swelling is not as bad as kybella.
Yes it is off label us but is effective in 1 to 3 sessions. Down side: # of sessions, added expense, healing time long, potential creepy skin. Lipo faster healing, but same other issues are possible. Only in person evolution will allow a determine and understanding of options. Average fees in...
