Use of Kybella for fat on inner knees. Who does it? Does it work? How does it compare to lipo? Does the knee end up crepey or deflated looking? Really interested in response from md

If you have just a small amount of knee fat, Kybella can melt it away with synthetic deoxycholic acid. Depending on your skin quality, you should get some skin contraction as well. If you have a lot of fat, Kybella would be prohibitively expensive. In that case, liposuction or CoolMini would be better alternatives. Consulting a board-certified dermatologist who has multiple options to treat this area will allow him or her to evaluate your fat and skin and help you choose the best treatment.

Yes it is off label us but is effective in 1 to 3 sessions. Down side: # of sessions, added expense, healing time long, potential creepy skin. Lipo faster healing, but same other issues are possible. Only in person evolution will allow a determine and understanding of options. Average fees in $4,000 ranges.

Kybella can be used off label on the body to get rid of small pockets of fat.  It is effective but it will usually take more than one treatment depending on large the fat pocket is before the treatment.  I would follow the same guidelines as the submental treatment.    It is best to find a board certified physician who has experience with Kybella.

Hi. It is possible that Kybella can be used on the inner knee fat. It will reduce the fatty tissue and will not cause any creepy or "deflated" look. However, there are some other non surgical possible options including cool sculpting or lipodissolve . It would be best if you could make an in person consultation with a provider that offers all of these options to direct you on which option is best for you.
