I had 1 syringe of Voluma XC done on my cheek bones and now I'm having heart palpitations, is this related to the filler?

Had it done and that's same night I started getting heart palpitations same symptoms like an anxiety attack never had this before and I had fillers done can it be possible it was the filler?

Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your heart palpitations.  It is unlikely that Voluma placement caused your heart flutter and I would have you follow up with your primary care doctor to discuss any other cardiac symptoms to see if additional testing is required.  hope this helps.

I don't believe that your heart palpitations is a result of having Voluma injections.  I would suggest that you get evaluated from your family doctor or cardiologist .  Best of luck

Voluma is a very safe filler, it does have minimal amounts of lidocaine. Palpitations after the filler may not be related. I would recommend for you to see a cardiologies or a primary care if you continue to have palpitations. Best, Dr. RG

Voluma is made of hyaluronic acid, which is found naturally in our bodies, including in our skin and joints.  There is a small amount of lidocaine in the Voluma, which usually wears off after about an hour.  Therefore, I do not think there is any reason to believe your palpitations are from the filler.  If they continue, you should make an appointment with your primary care doctor.

In my opinion, your heart palpitations are unrelated to the Voluma. They are probably the result of anxiety. Have you tried meditation? As little as 5 minutes a day can really help. Best of luck.

I think that it is very unlikely that your heart palpitations are due to the Voluma. Although you could be having anxiety about the procedure and that could be the root cause. I would suggest that you make an appointment with your doctor to get checked out in person.

It is extremely unlikely that your heart palpitations are caused by Voluma. I have never seen that in any of my patients and it is not listed as one of the side effects of Voluma by the product manufacturer, meaning that it was not reported during clinical studies. Follow up with your primary care physician if your symptoms persist. Good luck.
