How do I know the Voluma used on me was real?

Are you concerned because you didn't get your points ? did you call the office ? your mom saw the box and you can call the office and ask to see the record as there are stickers that are used that identity the syringe and lot number.

I would recommend calling your injector's office, and verifying your Brilliant Distinctions points will be added. It is very likely your chart was overlooked, and the front desk personnel missed entering your points. The points have to manually added, they do not automatically appear in your account. 

If you're concerned I recommend following up with your injector. Keep in mind, you may have swelling after your injections and it takes 1-2 weeks for final results. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for sharing your question.  If the Voluma used was legitimate there is a lot number to the product that can be confirmed with the manufacturer, Allergan.  If the bigger debate is the missing BD points, I would just contact the physician's office and discuss what the delay may be.  Hope this helps.

Each filler that is purchased in the US comes with a corresponding lot number and sticker.  The physician would have no benefit from using something like Silicone which would be much more expensive and not FDA approved on you.  If you are concerned you should just ask which lot was used and claim your corresponding BD points. In the future you should consult a board certified dermatologist who is an expert in Voluma. Best, Dr. Green

Hi,This is a great question since the FDA and the ASDS both have strong recommendations against using non USA fillers.  In our office, every syringe of filler has a corresponding sticker that states the lot and expiration date from the manufacturer.  You can ask your provider for a copy of yours for reassurance.Warmly,Dr.Liu
