I do not recommend warm compresses. Ice is used to help slow down the inflammatory process. I am not aware of any benefits from warm compresses. I doubt that they cause any harm, but I doubt that they offer much help, either. Please let  us know if you have any other questions or concerns!

Every case is different when it comes to a situation such as yours.  I would recommend you run this by your oral surgeon as well.  I tend to agree with your plastic surgeon and that it would be okay to proceed with the rhinoplasty.  Good luck!

I would advise following up with your surgeon if you have any concerns about this for a proper examination, however, I doubt you have caused any damage to your nose at his point of recovery.

Rhinoplasty can be performed with either conscious sedation or General anesthesia. Before your surgery you will be given medications to help relax you and prevent anxiety. It might be best in your case to request General anesthesia so that you wont be aware of the surgery.
