What's the difference between getting BBL alone and getting BBL with lipo?

I see a lot of ladies on here saying they have gotten lipo and bbl at the same time. Does that mean they get the regular BBL and then lipo some areas that will not be transitioned into the butt area?

What's the difference between getting BBL alone and getting BBL with lipo?

BBL usually includes liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, and back.  In many cases, liposuction of other areas like arms and thighs are added as a source of fat for harvesting fat to the bottom and hip region. Seek a plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of these procedures, has great reviews and photos, and is an expert in this field.

Dramatic Definition

A “Brazilian butt lift” has become a popular procedure and can produce dramatic changes in the appearance of the waistline and buttock. It is important to understand that the liposuction performed during the procedure can have as dramatic effect if not a more dramatic effect on your buttock contour as the fat actually injected into the buttock. One of the most important relationships in the lower body shape is the waist to hip ratio. A waist to hip ratio of 0.7 (meaning the waist is considerably narrower than the hips) is seen by many as attractive. Obtaining dramatic results often requires performing liposuction in the lower abdomen circumferentially to produce the narrow waistline. The liposuctioned fat is then used to add fullness to specific areas in the buttock to produce the contours that are desired. The procedure can be quite powerful in changing the lower body shape when performed thoughtfully by a plastic surgeon who has experience with the nuances of the procedure. Good luck!

Brazilian Butt Lift

A Brazilian Butt Lift is actually a combination of two cosmetic procedures; liposuction and butt augmentation. One's own fat is taken commonly from areas such as the abdomen or flanks to accentuate the natural shape of the buttocks. The fat is processed and re-injected into the buttocks.

What's the difference between getting BBL alone and getting BBL with lipo?

A "BBL" Brazilian butt lift harvest fat from areas ( Liposuction ) with the fat removed from the areas using your own fat it transfer to the buttocks and into the hips. The common donor sites for this procedure is your posterior waist/flanks, lateral thighs, back, waist, and anterior tummy.

The recommended BMI is less than 30. This is the recommendation of the American society of plastic surgery. The reason simply, is increased chance of complications. These include but limited to, pulmonary embolus, deep venous thrombosis, delayed wound healing and increase infection rate.

The state of Florida board of medicine limits the amount of pure fat remove to 4000cc or 4liters. This is implemented for patient safety. Any higher volume then the patient would require resuscitation at a hospital setting.

When you're looking for a cosmetic procedure you find a surgeon that has been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  Choose a board certified plastic surgeon who is highly experience in Brazilian Butt Lifts.  choose one wisely.  Many surgeons, including myself, offer online virtual consultations where you send us your photos and we can estimate the cost. and free Face to face consultation.

BBL Procedure

Hello, Thanks for your inquiry, a BBL can not be done without liposuction. You need fat from donor areas to graft it into your buttocks. Sometimes it includes more areas than in other cases.

Please make sure that you and your surgeon are on the same page. Don't forget to discuss all your concerns, options and expectations thoroughly. Have a safe and pleasant PS Journey!

The Brazilian butt lift, is a procedure that involves liposuction on the patient and then the fat harvested from the areas where the liposuction was done, will be injected in the buttocks, to create a more round shape and enhance the volume of the buttock area.

BBL or BBL and lipo

BBL requires you to perform lipo of the entire body; this is because there is usually no enough fat on your body to accommodate the volumes required to transfer to the buttocks. When full body is not performed, the patients are usually not happy with the volume of fat transferred.

Difference between Liposuction and BBL

BBL is a combination of liposuction and fat transfer to the buttock. Some patient's may just undergo extensive liposuction for body contouring without undergoing the transfer of fat in to the buttock.

Brazilian Butt Lift/ Fat grafting/Liposuction/ High Definition Procedures/Butt Implants

I appreciate your question.

I specialize in Brazilian Butt lifts and body contouring procedures.

The popular ‘Brazilian Butt Lift’ procedure is utilizes fat grafting to augment the curves of the gluteal region and accentuate the contour from lower back to buttocks. It is an excellent method for augmenting and lifting the buttocks and provides a beautiful, natural result. The procedure is performed by harvesting fat from unwanted areas of the body with liposuction and injecting it into buttocks. For individuals desiring a BBL but do not have enough fat available to be harvested, gluteal implants may be an excellent option for augmenting and enhancing the contour of the buttocks.

The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.

Best of luck!
