What can be done about close-set eyes?

It’s difficult to provide constructive advice without photographs. Even then, to get the best result, you need to book an in-person consultation with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon. This will allow your physician to examine your facial structure and determine the best course of action.
If performed properly, rhinoplasty can help narrow the nasal bridge and make your eyes seem like they are sitting further apart. If you are not ready to fully commit to a nose job, you can opt for a non-surgical rhinoplasty that offers temporary results in order to test the outcome.

Since there is no photo, it is difficult to comment, but if a nose is wide, then thinning the bridge may possibly improve the situation. The first step would be to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation and use computer imaging to see what can be done.

However, based on your description, fillers could be an option
A “liquid” or non-surgical rhinoplasty involves injecting an appropriate filler into either the bridge or tip of the nose to create either a smoother bridge or a raised or more prominent tip. Not every patient is a candidate for this technique and in general, it is used more for augmenting the nose than reducing the nose. Please take caution with filler injections into the nose if you have had prior surgery as this increases the risk of complications.
Consult with an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon who also does a significant number of filler injections for a complete range of options that are appropriate for your situation.

Dear CcSirie,Thank you for your question. A rhinoplasty that focuses on lowering your nasal bridge will give the illusion of wider set eyes. In craniofacial surgery we do something called box osteotomies to move the eye sockets, but this is an aggressive technique reserved for patients with severe congenital anomalies. Best regards,Nirmal R. You can lower the bridge of the nose between the eyes, which can give the illusion of more distance between the eyes. Conversely, you can make the eyes look closer together by raising the bridge. Also, in some cases, you can transpose a small flap of skin to decrease the exposure of the inner corners of the skin.

If the proportion of the upper third of your face can be improved, this may not be that difficult to correct.  Thining the nasal bridge in the glabellar region may help make the medial canthus appear farther apart.  Narrowing your temporal width can also help correct excessive temporal fullness.  

Frankly, I'm not sure whether Rhinoplasty might address your concerns. Consider re-asking your question with photos that demonstrate what you would like to achieve. Thank you. Dr Joseph

Much of facial aesthetics has to do with relative balance and proportion of the facial features.   I recommend consulting with a Facial Plastic Surgeon who specializes in facial aesthetics to discuss your concerns.  Rhinoplasty may be a consideration, along with other non-surgical options to improve your look and have you feeling better.Best Regards, Dr. Weiss
