Why does my nose still hurt when I wear glasses after rhinoplasty? Any treatments available for this?

I had a rhinoplasty and septoplasty performed 1.5 year ago. I ended up with beautiful results but my nose is now very sensitive to any pressure and I often get headaches from wearing my glasses (which are thin wired and lightweight with nose pads). I asked my surgeon about this and he said I likely had sensitivity to glasses before my surgery and I am more aware of it now after surgery but I disagree because I previously wore very heavy glasses and sunglasses often/all day without any issues.

It is difficult to say why you have become more sensitive to glasses after surgery. The swelling and other changes should have settled down by now. You may want to try changing the bridge of the glasses or use glasses with silicone padding in the area of the nose. I would recommend discussing your problems with an eye specialist also. All The Best !

There is no clear answer to this unfortunately.  It is possible the headaches are unrelated to your rhinoplasty so it would be a good idea to discuss them with your general practitioner.
