Hi! I have an appendectomy scar from when I was 5 years old....I’m a small girl (work out daily, eat healthy) but the scar on my stomach is kind of unsightly, protruding over the scar line. I’d love to get it fixed and some lipo in my lower abdomen to achieve a really flat stomach. Does this seem possible? I’d prefer to not do a mini tummy tuck as I haven’t had kids yet.

One treatment may be helpful for one patient while another treatment may help another patient. When faced with an unattractive or dysfunctional scar, one must first diagnose what the problem is and then develop a hypothesis to explain why the problem might have developed. An assessment must then be made as to whether the problem is amenable to correction, and, if so, a decision must be made regarding which of the many treatment options available for scar revision is most appropriate for the specific clinical situation.
