Hi and thanks. Some of the fullness in the upper lip may still be from swelling. It's good to follow up with your injector and begin a discussion about your result. Aesthetic principles for the relationship of your upper to lower lip is for the lower lip to be 1.6 times taller than the upper lip. Your lip balance appears to be off with the upper lip fuller than the bottom. You may be swollen somewhat at 2 weeks but I suspect you are overfilled. Juvederm can be reversed with hyaluronidase if you want to correct this. Be sure to see an expert.

Lip fillers can be a great way to enhance volume or shape of the lips.  Swelling after these treatments can last several days.  Given, that there seems to be a palpable bump and overfilling of the upper lip compared to the lower, I would consider discussing dissolving some of the filler of the upper lip with hyaluronidase to bring it back into balance with the lower lip.  Best of luck.

I'm afraid that your entire lip is overfilled and the proportion is very distorted. This, however, can be easily corrected. Good luck!

Thank you for your question. Even though it has been 2 weeks since your lip augmentation treatment. I would wait to do anything. In the meantime, you can gently massage the lump to help smooth it out. Based on your photographs it appears you top lip is slightly overfilled when compared to your bottom lip. If your swelling does not resolve in the next week, I would follow with you injector. Your injector can dissolved some the filler with injection of enzyme called hyaluronidase. Best of Luck!

It appears that you have too much filler in your top lip and the balance now between your top and lower lip looks unnatural.  Please return to your treating physician for Hyaluronidase to dissolve the product.  Consult an expert in lip injections and cosmetic treatments for the best results.  Best, Dr. Green

Seeing this in person and feeling it would help me most in recommending treatment. I think you are referring to the small raised area of your upper lip, if you have before pictures it can be important to compare them to make sure no pre-existing lip bump existed and the juvederm enhanced it. The lips look quite big for 1/2cc of juvederm ultra, i feel that you may still have some residual swelling. 

Your doctor may want to put you on a steroid or anti-inflammotory to bring the swelling down or at least try to bring it down as well as recommend massage twice daily of the area. I would wait another week before re-injecting if possible, but if the bump still persists I would consider hyaluronidase in the bump. 

Bumps can be made up of:

Inflammation, juvederm, or residual hematoma (blood/bruise in the lip)

However, in my opinion, the lips are overfilled. The anatomy is distorted and the upper lip is much bigger than the lower lip, about twice the size. It is supposed to be in a ratio of 1:1.6 upper to lower lip. I don't think that much will change if you wait. Injecting with hyaluronidase runs the risk of even appearing lips to get uneven.
