to some degree your question is subjective. Based on that, my answer to your question is no. You cannot have a nice look with a lift and minimal scars. Most likely you will need extensive scars, a partial reduction and implants if you want the best Aesthetic outcome. I suggest you look for before and after pictures of previous patients who have similar body anatomy. This means you should have a complete set of breast pictures of yourself to use as a reference whenever you review before and after pictures. It makes no sense to review results of people who don’t have the same Candidacy for the procedure in the first place. I recommend you schedule several in person consultations with plastic surgeons in your community who have extensive breast surgery experience. Bring pictures of yourself to you as a reference. This is really important. Ask the surgeon to show you before and after pictures of previous patients who are the same types of breast characteristics. Make sure you have your own pictures to use as a reference when you review the before and after pictures with your surgeon. If they don’t have examples of patients who look like you do then they don’t have enough experience. Breast surgery can be pretty complicated and involved in your case. The surgery is going to be involved because there are a lot of different variables that need to be addressed. A simplistic approach to your breast surgery is not going to deliver a desirable outcome. I don’t mean to be pessimistic, but I’m hoping for patience to have overall positive experiences with minimal chance of complications and need for revision surgery. In your case the need for revision surgery in the future is going to be relatively high. If you do a lift without implants, your breast are most likely going to be flat without good projection. If you add implants, your breasts are going to be on the big side and this is going to put weight on all the tissues, causing them to stretch out more. Even if you reduce some of the breast tissue, there’s going to be a tendency for the skin to continue to stretch. It’s important that the weight of the implant isn’t based or held up by the skin envelope if you have an implant with the lift. All in all, it’s really too complicated to review on a forum like this. A proper consultation should take about an hour. There is a lot of information that needs to be discussed. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
