Question

I hsd my implants removed 7 years ago and a anchor lift right after . I developed the dreadful dents from nipple to crease . i was told i didn't have enough breast tissue from the dr . Orher drs told me it was the way it was stitched .I don't want anoth B/a . ive since loosened a lot which makes the dents more obvious i'd like to avoid fat if i could.

@Sophia444 You could undergo a scar revision (+/- Fat grafting) to help with the indented appearance of your vertical scar. It may never be completely smooth but the goal would be to release the tethering point and close in layers to avoid this happening again.

Thank you for sharing your photo and your story. what i see in the single image is either the vertical scar causing an indentation vs the softer breast tissue "falling" over the vertical scar. one might get better with excision / reclosure and possible fat grafting. the other might involve adjusting the lift itself. would need an exam to know better. but the short answer is yes - there should be a way to make this better!

Hello- thank you for sharing. You have a vertical scar with some contraction. Sometimes it is caused by the closure and subsequent healing, and sometimes it may be contraction with possible body changes over time. A revision may be possible but it depends on your tissue compliance and laxity. Hope this helps. Best,

The indentation is likely due to the scar formation. That scar formation might just be limited to the skin level, in which a superficial scar revision may be adequate enough to create a more contoured shape to the lower pole of the breast. If the scar tissue extends deeper and/or there is a deficiency of volume, then the scar tissue would either need to be released or removed from the deeper tissue. If that resulted in a deficiency of volume, that space would need to be filled with something - either the surrounding breast tissue or transferring fat from somewhere else from the body.
I think your surgeon would have a better idea of which of those options would be best for you after performing an in-person physical examination.

Based on the one posted photo that is not showing the complete breast an option of the new FDA approved ALLOCLAE fat injections in a series of 2 to 3 sessions might improve. This product is quite expensive. Each session could go for $4000-$6000. non-surgical option two is to use capital SCULPTRA injections over a series of 3 to 6 visits again this can become expensive. Surgical options include revision of the vertical scar with a dermal fat raft, but again cannot see the complete view of the breast so best to virtual consult with for better determination and options regards
