Thank you for your inquiry, congratulations on your tummy tuck. Usually after 1-2 weeks after tummy tuck you are able to stand straight, each patient is differently your body on its own will straighten when you are ready. Some patients take longer up to 3 weeks to fully stand straight. Best of luck!
Thanks for your question! This answer varies, but in my experience of doing over one thousand tummy tucks, you should be able to stand straight up (little by little every day!) by 5-7 day’s post op. Best of luck to you!
Everyone heals differently, but usually after about a week or so the patient will be able to stand up straight. The skin has been stretched and sewn snugly to give the flattest and smoothest result possible, it will gradually ease and stretch. Good luck.
Thanks for your inquiry, being able to stand straight up right after a tummy tuck varies from patient to patient. In general a surgeon will encourage a hunched over position for at least several days to prevent wound separation, bleeding, etc. Good Luck.
It is usually about a week or so, every day it should get better just don't do it at once do it little by little, continue to follow up with your PS.
Dear kearas05,recovery time is approximately 2 weeks. Vigorous activities should be limited for at least six weeks. You should be able to stand straight after one week. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Hi. It usually takes about one week till you can stand straight. Usually, you can straighten a little bit more each day as long as you don’t do it drastically all at once. good question and best of luck!
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. I recommend my patient complete properly the healing process, ill recommend you to wait at least 8 weeks.Good luck :)
When you tighten the diastasis recti it causes tension. It will vary by patient, but most patients can stand up straight in about 1 week.
Standing straight after a tummy tuck varies by patient. In general it's about a week before most patients can fully stand straight. Sometimes this semi "hunched" position will create some low back soreness. Warm compresses and having a partner rub a tennis ball on the area may soothe this until you can walk straight again.
Looking at your photographs, it doesn't look as if there is very much laxity above the scar and it is unlikely that you will get significantly lower scar, even if your surgeon tries to remove tissue below the scar and pull it down. It is difficult to comment specifically as the main factor here...
This looks like a pocket of infection or fat necrosis. I agree that is could be die to a retained suture. Usually deep seated sutures are absorbable so with time this should no longer be a problem. However I would definitely see a local PS who can advise.
Thank you for sharing your question. A number of patients will experience an elevation in their blood pressure when seeing their doctor but if your other measurements are within normal limits there is no additional risk to you with surgery. Hope this helps.
