Hi. THis is part of our protocol. I feel that the longer you wear the foam pads and abdominal board the greater the chances of that skin re-draping. Good luckDr PG
Thank you for your questions. Post up garments should be worn right after surgery. Garments, including foam and abdominal boards are very important in compressing down swelling in your post up recovery. I also advise you to contact your surgeon to help you better understand any questions and concerns you have during your recovery. Best of luck to you
You should wear the recommended garments asap after your procedure.Post- operative regimens after lipo , or tummy tuck procedures benefit from compression. Both procedures result in tremendous fluid production from the surgical trauma. The goal of the compression garment is to minimize the swelling and fluid production. This results is faster healing. The garment should not be too tight, or too loose. I usually have my patients wear the foam under the garment for 4 days, and wear the garment for 6 weeks. In some cases, as the swelling goes down, a smaller garment is needed.Best,Dr Results
Hello,Thank you for your question. Usually, foam padding- if in addition to your compression garment-will be worn for the first 3-7 days. Each surgeon has their own protocol for binders and garments after surgery however so I recommend that you ask them directly what is advised for you.Take care
Each plastic surgeon has different protocols for recovery from Tummytuck surgery. Best to check in with your surgeon. Good luck!
Thank you for sharing your question. Because each surgeon has their own respective protocol, I would reach out to yours for the best advice on garment use. They know the details of your procedure best. Hope this helps.
Liposuction is the most powerful way to sculpt and change your body but the faja and the foam pads and the table are all very important parts of the recovery and are especially important for the first two months so I would encourage you to wear them around the clock for the first 2 months and then re-assess. A lot of times we stop the table at 2 months but continue the faja for a total of 3 months after surgery.Certified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, Florida Medical Association
Thank you for your question. Because every surgeon is different as far as their protocol for recovery after surgery, this is a question best addressed with your plastic surgeon. They will be able to answer any questions you have, as well as let you know what their specific instructions are for your recovery. Good luck!Regards,Krishna Dash, MD

Each surgeon is a bit different in how they have patients take care of themselves after surgery. You are best to ask your surgeon his thoughts.
