I have a date set to get liposuction on one of my breasts, doctor thinks I have good elasticity and I’m young and I don’t have too much of a droop. after liposuction he recommends a lift and implants. My question are 1. Can I get liposuction and only liposuction 2. Do I have to get all 3 (Lipo, lift, and implants) 3. Am I able to achieve symmetry with just a lift and implant alone

Answer: Breast asymmetry Dear alli98, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you have asymmetry and you will probably benefit from fat transfer to smaller breast or reduction of larger breast. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Breast lift with implant placement only! What you need is a breast lift with implant placement only. Don't need liposuction at all; The lift and implant will correct breast sagging, eliminate asymmetry, and allow you to have any size you desire. A breast consultation with a high definition breast specialist would be very helpful to show you what is possible.

Answer: Unnecessary procedures Personally I would probably try to do this as a single stage procedure. If you’re willing to have implants then the size can be made even with implant adjustment. To create symmetry in regards to shape you will need a lift on your left breast. There are potential advantages to doing liposuction and placing implants. It seems like a bit of a complicated way of going about things. For example if a surgeon is trying to create a certain shape they can only be done by using a certain type and size implant but The patient wants to limit the size of the augmentation then conceivably the combination of liposuction or some form of reduction in combination with an implant could be justified. If you only had one consultation and the first thing I would recommend is scheduling several more. Intelligent consumers recognize that there is a vast difference of skill and experience among different providers and to maximize the chance of having a positive outcome they will put in a significant amount of effort to find the best provider in their community. Do that by having multiple in person consultations. During each consultation ask each provider to show as many before and after pictures of similar breast cases as your own that they have. Highly experienced providers should have hundreds of breast surgery before and after pictures because it is one of the most common performed operations by most plastic surgeons. Highly experienced providers may have thousands of breast before and after pictures. Ask them to show you pictures of patients who look just like you in the before pictures. Ask if you can take a copy of the after picture. This is sometimes appropriate and sometimes not. Continue having consultations until you feel very confident that you found the surgeon who can give you the best result or you feel is most appropriate for you. It’s possible that the surgeon you picked is a master at breast surgery and knows much more than I do. Personally I would do this in a single stage and if needed add a revision later.
