1 year post-op mommy makeover, can a pubic area bulge be fixed? (photos)

I had a mommy make over done in Bellevue January 2021. I’ve been left with horrible scars all over my body. But worst is a scrotum like bulge i was left with. It’s horrible even in clothes it looks like i have a package. i was told he lipo’d the area but it’s clear he didn’t. I know you can’t re-lipo an area but i truly believe 100% it wasn’t done to begin with. Does this look like something that can be fixed?

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. Liposuction of this area is feasible and should leave you with a better contour. A proper examination with another plastic surgeon would be best before you make your decision.

Hi. Looking at your pics there seems a bulge in public area. If  any pinchable fat is there in public area it can be managed by liposuction.Most of the areas scar looks fine and healed. Yes, this area can be revised and improved.  Either liposuction, skin excision, or both will give you a better and flatter contour of this area.  An in person exam is needed to know for sure which is recommended.  See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

To make an assessment on the outcome of a procedure we really need to see before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures to ask your surgeon to forward the ones they took.

Fullness in the mons pubis is typically related to skin laxity, excess fat or both.

Based on your pictures it looks like the skin may have been pushed together. Try lifting up or pulling out to the sides to see if putting the skin under tension improves to contour.

If putting the skin under tension doesn’t change the contour than fat is more likely the problem and Liposuction should fix it

To get an accurate assessment I recommend getting an in person consultation. I suggest you start off with the provider who did your procedure.

The best solution is to do revision liposuction and possibly a scar revision. Contrary to what you may have heard, it *is* possible to have "secondary" (i.e. repeat) liposuction to correct contour deformities. The difficulty is increased, so make sure you go to a provider who you trust.
