Will 400cc, dual plane implants still look natural as I don't want to go too big? (Photos)

After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. A double bubble occurs when the relationship between implant and gland is out of sync so to speak and the gland fall off the edge of the implant. It creates a distortion to the breast that results in poor aesthetics - shape and contour. There isn't something magical about a 400cc implant. Careful planning is needed and your surgeon may well feel that is the size that will avoid it. Surgical technique also plays a role. Have a look at your Surgeon's results, before and after's, testimonials and have another consultation to discuss it. If you still feel they are too big (and heavy) for you, you may need additional procedures or seek a second opinion in person.

Thanks for your inquiry, a 400 cc Moderate Plus profile implant fits well in your dimensions and is a good choice. The smaller the implant the more narrow it becomes relative to your base width and achieving cleavage and fullness, good luck.

Thanks for including your Crisalix 'before photos' - you appear to have a moderately wide breast foot print and a fair amount of your own breast tissue. a 400 cc moderate profile implant might look very nice on you. It's impossible to say how 'natural' your post op result will be, as this is a subjective descriptor.

Hello, thank you for your question. A board certified plastic surgeon will be able to guide you to the correct size implant. Based upon measurements of your chest wall and breast imprint width as well as knowledge of all breast implant sizes and profiles should make this process easy. Try on a profile bra with various silicone cc sizers your PS recommends under a tailored blouse, tank top, bikini, workout clothes, and other garments you typically wear so that you have the best idea of whether the garments fit as desired with the implant selected. Select the size that boosts your self-esteem, and fits your anatomy. Choosing an implant based on an aesthetic goal that exceeds your anatomic capacity may lead to complications and possibly revision.

Unfortunately, without examining you in person it is not possible to provide you with a precise answer. That said, for your height an weight 400 cc may not be too large. I would not put too much stock in the software simulations. A much better approach is to share with your plastic surgeon images of women's breasts you consider attractive, and allow your plastic surgeon to determine which implant is most likely to be suitable. I also recommend using on lay sizers in a bra that allow you to determine what you are likely to look like in a bra or bathing suite, or with a t-shirt, with any given size such as 400 cc.

breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

My average implant I place is 350-375cc, but my average height patient is about 5'4". At 5'11" I would think 400cc is about at the small end of what would fit well in you. However, you need a consultation where careful measurements are made to make sure the implant fits and try on sizers to see if you like the look. Good luck.

The 3D imaging is notoriously inaccurate- it's really more of a marketing tool to wow patients and get them to sign up for surgery. The key to accurate sizing is taking good chest measurements, reviewing photos with you, and having you try on the implant sizers in the office with various tops. If you try on the 350-375 sizer and love it, then 400cc is probably the correct choice!

I appreciate your concern, because size does matter when seeking a natural looking result in breast augmentation.
I ask my patients to bring in photos of breasts the size they desire, because there can otherwise be confusion because B or C cup can vary greatly by brassiere manufactures! I also utilize the implant in the bra technique, with several different implant sizes with a tighter fitting T-shirt to get an idea of what you will look like. Finally, I prefer to meet with my breast implant patients at least twice before surgery, so I am confident that I know exactly what her desires regarding shape and size are. I then have several sized implants in the patient's desired range available in the OR to allow me to tailor the operation to fit her needs. Be certain your surgeon understands your desires and you should do great as this operation carries a very high satisfaction rate. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck
