A double bubble occurs when the relationship between implant and gland is out of sync so to speak and the gland fall off the edge of the implant. It creates a distortion to the breast that results in poor aesthetics - shape and contour. There isn't something magical about a 400cc implant. Careful planning is needed and your surgeon may well feel that is the size that will avoid it. Surgical technique also plays a role. Have a look at your Surgeon's results, before and after's, testimonials and have another consultation to discuss it. If you still feel they are too big (and heavy) for you, you may need additional procedures or seek a second opinion in person.
