Could someone please advise whether I have tuberous breast syndrome?

I have never been told I have before but from what I have seen/read online I'm afraid I might have? I have had a couple of previous examinations by various doctors and also plastic surgeons and no-one has ever told me I have but looking at these pics now, I don't know?

Thank you for posting your question with these photos. You definitely do not have tuberous breasts. You have slight ptosis with a deflated upper pole, this is very normal. A tuberous breast has a constricted and or atrophied lower pole and glandular tissue pushing out on the areola (puffy areolae). This is not your case and you will get great results with a breast augmentation. No need to worry.

You appear to have a distinct breast fold and no constriction of tissue around your areolae, therefore you don’t look like you have tubular breasts.

Thanks for your inquiry, I do not feel you have classic tubular breast features, but you may still benefit from a peri-areolar mastopexy which is often used with a tubular breast deformity to tighten your mound.

It’s easy to see why you might think so after looking at a bunch of pictures on the Internet, but your breasts do not look like they have tuberous deformity. It appears that the upper part of your chest is more prominent in the lower, which is creating an appearance that the breast is hanging off of the chest to some extent. This will create a somewhat unnatural shape to the breast. This is not a very common chest wall configuration; I would recommend you consult not only with a board-certified plastic surgeon, but one with a great deal of experience specifically in breast, such as a breast fellowship. Having appropriate expectations for the outcome of your surgery is of vital importance because chest wall configurations like this have implications for how your implants will settle over time. A surgeon who has seen this before can help with that. Good luck, it should be a nice boost to see the improvement a skilled surgeon can give you

You do not meet the criteria for tuberous breast syndrome. Your breasts look a little deflated and your nipple appears to be a little low. My suggestion would be a mastopexy augmentation where you add volume with an implant and elevate the nipple and reshape the lower breast with a lift. Good luck!

You do not have tuberous breasts. You may have some constriction at the bottom portion of your breast but it is not tuberous. As always, be sure to research who performs your surgery to ensure the best likelihood of a positive result.

No you do not have tuberous breasts, you just have normal B cup breasts that are a little low on your chest and have a little deflated look- your best option would be a donut mastopexy and submuscular augmentation with saline or silicone implants, depending on your preference. To determine the exact size and profile I would measure your chest, we would review photos together, and you would have an opportunity to try on the implant sizers here in the office.
