First of all, I can not thank Vivek and the team at elanic enough for how amazing they have been over the past few months! I went for a consultation with Vivek after having low self esteem and body confidence issues from a very young age, noticing my breasts looked abnormal compared to the other girls in the gym changing rooms in high school and other women around me since 12 or 13. When I found out the term for my abnormality at about 15 I had my heart set on getting it corrected once I was old enough and Vivek has been excellent at talking me through my deformity and the corrective procedure in a calm, reassuring and easy to understand way, giving me (and more importantly my very cautious and worried Mum!) the confidence to trust him and the team with my breast augmentation. Every single person at elanic has been nothing but kind to me at each and every visit or in every call. I had my first consultation with Vivek back in January and when I had a minor wobble in April because I had forgotten to take pictures at my first appointment to reassure myself that I had chosen everything correctly, I was quickly given another free consultation with Vivek to look again at my vectra images and try on implant sizers. Again, he took my new long list of questions I brought along and reassured me for every single point! The nursing team have also always been very quick when it comes to me emailing in any questions that ever pop up in my head which I'm very grateful for! For surgery day, the team had me in the clinic for 10am and I was back home in my bed by 2.30pm which I couldn't have been more happy with. Again, I was well taken care of both before the operation and afterwards, getting tea and biscuits immediately after coming round! I am currently 1 day post op and the moment I came round from sedation yesterday I got emotional looking down at what a great job I could already see Vivek had done for me. I can't yet fully comment on after care or healing, but so far so good, pain hasn't been as bad as I was expecting and you get given away plenty of painkillers to help. I already have 4 dates in my diary for post op check ups and calls, which again reassures me I am being well looked after and taken care of by everyone. Thank you again Vivek, I know I still have a long path of healing and "dropping and fluffing" but I can't tell you how pleased I am with everything already! Would highly recommend elanic, don't hesitate! Updated on 26 May 2023: Finally 11 days post op from my breast augmentation with Vivek! The first week was really rough for me, I had quite a bit of swelling and a very tight, painful chest at first but the pain peaked around the 3-4 day mark. I also experienced quite a bit of bruising after the operation which is still clearing up at the moment. Thought I would include some info about myself and the implants I went for: 5ft5, 65kg woman, had tuberous/tubular breast deformity, went for 330cc and 350cc anatomical implants placed dual plane. I have also decided to attach some images showing the scans taken during my first consultation with Vivek, how my breasts looked before my augmentation, how they looked a couple of days post op and how they are looking now that the swelling has quite drastically subsided. I honestly cannot tell you how over the moon I am with my results already, the swelling seems almost non-existent now, I can see some lovely definition coming in and the size is exactly what I had hoped for! I am so excited for the drop and fluff process though and seeing how they will look in a few weeks time, but it's already been so exciting seeing the progression! As for pain at 11 days post op, I am doing amazing! I had a dose of ibuprofen this morning as I normally experience the most pain in the mornings and in the evenings but today I haven't felt the need to take another dose since, no uncomfortableness, no major pain that's irritating me, most I am dealing with is very slight incision pain sometimes and even calling it pain is a push to be honest - it's is more like a slight burning feeling but doesn't exactly hurt. I also haven't had as much evening pain in my breasts for the last 2 evenings now which I am so happy about because that was definitely the worst time of day for me. I had my first post op appointment on Monday the 22nd, the nurse was lovely as per usual. She changed my dressing and checked how I was healing before taking some progress pictures for me. Everything looked like it was healing really well apparently, only thing she was a little concerned about was the remaining very dark purple bruising that seemed to be quite heavy in one spot. She said that she wanted to keep an eye on this and how it is healing so I am booked in for another post op appointment next Tuesday. I have been very impressed with the after care so far and am glad they want to keep a close eye on things like this! Again, just feeling so so happy now, the first week or so was a real pain and discomfort rollercoaster but now that everything is settling down and I'm back to my usual energy levels so I can get out the house and things I couldn't be more excited about the rest of the healing process and seeing my end results! Updated on 4 Jun 2023: I will be 3 weeks post-op tomorrow and things are still going more smoothly than I ever could have hoped! I have been off of painkillers for ages now, no real pain at all anymore, just some not very pleasant sensitivity all over my breast sometimes. I had a follow up post-op review at 2 weeks post-op last Tuesday, my bruises were checked and seem to be clearing up well so there is no real concerns about that anymore. The nurse as per usual was so lovely, changed my dressings again (I didn't need them anymore really but she said I was welcome to have them popped on again if I would like). She also snipped some bits of stitches off from the edge of my incision for me, they are disolvable but the edges can apparently stick out sometimes and cause some irritation issues. I can barely see any bruising now which I am so happy about and I'm pretty sure that all swelling has completely gone away now! I removed my dressings for good this morning and wow!! The scars are so so thin!! A little bit red still but I am so impressed my how small and thin they are and the nurse also seemed confident that I would scar really nicely! I am feeling more and more impatient now for getting to try on all the bras, clothes and swimsuits that I have always wanted to wear but only 3 weeks to go now until my compression bra can be done with! Updated on 26 Jun 2023: Wow! Once the pain is gone time flies so so fast! Can't believe I'm already at the 6-week mark, I am still so happy with my results and I swear they get better and better every day! I had my 6 week check up today back at the clinic, nurse Chloe took great care of me, she talks to you like you're good friends, she's absolutely amazing at her job! When she showed me the side by side before and after pictures I teared up at how much of a difference there is, I can't even tell you how much choosing to go through with this procedure has massively improved my confidence in myself, it has been life changing for me! Vivek is a wizard and all of elanic's staff have been nothing but wonderful every single time I have been in contact or in the clinic, honestly think I'll miss the nurses once my 3-month check is over! I've attached some more photos of how my boobs are looking at 6-weeks post-op! Gorgeous results if I do say so myself! Updated on 26 Aug 2023: How time has flown in! I am now past the 3-month post-surgery mark and I am still over the moon with the results Vivek has given me. For anyone about to have breast augmentation or who is in the early stages of recovery believe your surgeons and put all your trust in the drop and fluff process! The change from week one until now is insane and I even see major differences since my last week 6 update too. They sit so naturally and fit with my body perfectly, I have gotten everything I could have wanted, they really feel like part of me now. The only "issue" I have encountered over the past few weeks has been the stretch marks that have formed on the underside of both of my breasts. They are nothing but an aesthetic annoyance, however, I did expect them as I am very prone to stretchmarks elsewhere and it is no bad reflection on Viveks work, it's unavoidable and I am using bio oil to try and help the appearance. I just feel like I hadn't seen many results with stretch marks shown hence why I thought I would share my experience of getting them. Boobs still look amazing in clothing as it's only the underside so it hasn't overly affected how I feel about the results just disappointing that they have creeped up lately. Thank you so much to Vivek and the entire team at Elanic for being amazing every step of the way, it has been a smooth process from start to finish and I couldn't be more pleased with my results. I would highly recommend Elanic to anyone in Glasgow/Scotland looking for any surgeries/cosmetic procedures. I have attached pictures of the before and after I was shown by Vivek at my 3-month check up along with some more current pictures that I have taken myself and the stretch marks that have developed on my breasts recently. Updated on 22 Dec 2023: I am now officially more than 7 months post op!! Thought I'd quickly write another update since I remember noticing many people forgot to update after the first few crucial weeks/months when I was researching before my own surgery. I almost became one of those people and I understand now! Before your surgery it feels like this huge deal, it's all you think about and you count down the days and even after it happens you're in shock and getting used to the results everyday but after the 2 or 3 month mark everything just feels sooo normal! I honestly barely even remember my boobs haven't always been there anymore, I would say less than once a month do I remember the fact I've had surgery. I am just so comfortable in my body now and used to the fact that I feel "normal" now. I never have to think about what bra I can wear with clothes to make my breasts appear "normal", I can just do whatever I want! I believe my breasts have dropped and fluffed even more since my last update, they look more and more natural and more and more part of me with every month that passes. My scars are healing up amazingly and my breasts have now dropped enough that there is always a good fold that covers where the scars were anyways. As I always say, cannot thank Vivek and his team enough, this surgery has been life changing for me!
I had a breast reduction, lift and implants surgery with vivek in March 2021 at Elanic glasgow, from my first consultation in December 2020 (after meeting with 2 other surgeons from different company's) i knew Vivek was the surgeon for me. On the morning of my surgery i was terrified, however from the reception staff to nurses to the anaesthetist to Vivek i instantly felt at ease and excited. After surgery i was greeted with a nurse before Vivek came to make sure i was ok, the results were incredible. I was home within 4.5 hours from arriving at elanic to recovery. After care - i was back at elanic for my check up 1 week after surgery. All was well and i got my dressings off i was back 3 months later then 6. All has been great my scars are amazing and my breast look fantastic. I cannot thank vivek and his team enough.
Had my Tummy tuck with doctor Vivek yesterday 17th January 2022. The team from start to finish was amazing. I personally have minimum pain but am resting well. I will definitely put before & after up once I'm held. Highly recommend so far. Updated on 20 Jan 2022: Updated on 20 Jan 2022: My plan was go get it done then deal with the pain afterwards. I am so surprised the pain is actually minimum. I do feel tight without my corset as I had a light shower today which was awesome as I felt quite itchy but it’s only 2 days so it’s all healing & knitting together nicely. Was so glad to get my corset back on tho! Really recommend DR Vivek so far. Updated on 20 Jan 2022: Feeling a bit more sore today. First & second day I was taking 1 co-codmol with 1 ibuprofen every 4/5 hrs then at night I would add 1 tramadol. Day 3 I have been taken all 3 together every 4/5 hours to relieve the pain. I have been lifting my corset & applying Arnica cream to the sides as that’s where the most bruising is from lipo. It’s really helping calm the swelling & bruising down.Loving my results really progressing daily. Also drinking tons of water & eating lots of oranges & pineapples so good for the healing process. Updated on 20 Jan 2022: I will check in again for my 1 week post op appointment, il get a picture with all my plasters off hopefully. It’s 3 days away. Will get a better view of what’s been done. Updated on 21 Jan 2022: I asked Doctor Vivik if he would remove my Pearson hole from my belly button & me having no clue he says, well I won’t promise you I can as the higher I correct then the higher your incision will be, so I just didn’t think much if it, but wait for it guys, after my plasters came off today my incision is just amazing it’s from hip to hip with a nice low down bikini level incision, however he’s put a little arch in the middle meaning he’s defo fix it. I don’t get my 1 week check till Monday next week 24th/01/22 Remarkable Surgeon eh? So happy with how it’s looking so far & again minimum pain. If you guys are want a tummy tuck Dr Vivek is the surgeon to go to. Updated on 26 Jan 2022: It’s now 11 day post surgery & I’m standing up just about 98% straight as my tummy still feel so tight. I’m going long slow flat walks with my dog around the park. The walks are really helping my recovery. I am a hairdresser to trade & I have been doing my regulars, just small services like blow drys, extension maintenance etc. I will get back probably next week. But Iv been feeling fine & so happy with my result & my progress. My belly button is still covered but I had a sneaky peek on my appointment & it looks so cute. That is the bit I really don’t want looking odd but so far it looks good. Again if your looking for a good Clinic & surgeon Definitely Elanic & Dr Vivek. I will keep you all up dated as I am. Updated on 26 Jan 2022: Feeling so Sore today & I’m very tired. Started working on my clients again but maybe pushing myself too much, feel like I should have a few days rest not to overdo it.
I had a tummy tuck and some lipo 5 days ago. I had the surgery at the Elanic clinic under sedation with local anaesthetic. From the moment I booked my consultation I have been well looked after. I’ve phoned a few times to ask questions and the clinic has always been very helpful. I chose Vivek as my surgeon after looking at a lot of his before and after photos, his qualifications, awards and reviews. At my consultation I didn’t even need to ask any questions as he covered everything. I’ve had 3 children and a number of big weightlosses. I came to Vivek at 5ft, 7st10 and a bmi of 21. I had loose skin on my stomach and stubborn fat that I could shift no matter hard I worked in the gym. I asked for more of a waist and a flatter stomach. I am so happy with my results, I am still swollen but I see a massive difference and finally have a waist. Thank you! Updated on 16 Nov 2021: Nearly 5 weeks post op and I’m sooo happy! I just love my shape now, I think I actually have more of a waist than I did pre kids! I have a small opening in my wound but have been well looked after and always get an instant response on the phone and am always able to see someone at the clinic on the same day! Really happy with how low my scar is and my belly button! I would 100% recommend the clinic and have booked to have my breasts done next year!
Where do I begin? Everyone seeking some form of cosmetic surgery, has a vision of how they really wish this could go and what the visual results will be. The expectations I thought I could only wish for, is what I found in Vivek and his team. I would almost beg anyone searching for a surgeon for their procedure, to contact Elanic and speak with Vivek. I am speaking even more highly as I have had two previous surgeries and nothing would ever compare to my experience at Elanic. I have read so many reviews online, especially from women, who have been unhappy with their procedure, whether it be implant size or placement. Mr Sivarajan used a vectra 3d imaging machine during my consultation, allowing for us to discuss the possibilities of the outcome from my procedure. I already had breast implants at this time, using the machine, Vivek was able to see the size of implant, how much breast tissue I had and what size of implant I would be able to have, allowing me to see the final result we would be aiming for on a screen. I was blown away by Vivek Sivarajan’s knowledge. I had previous severe tubular breast deformity, two previous surgeries I had not been fully happy with and issues with the implants I currently had. Due to many factors the implant exchange surgery I needed was an extensive one. I am utterly convinced if it was anyone other than Vivek who carried out my surgery, I would have had terrible complications and a poor visual result. He is highly, highly knowledgable in his field and yet extremely humble, kind and caring. I had implant removal, capsulectomy, implant replacement with tigr mesh (internal bra) areola reduction and lift and fat transfer, I also had a mini abdominoplasty with three areas of liposuction. Today I had my dressings removed, that was when I knew now was the time to leave a review. I am finally, for the first time in my life, happy with how my breasts look. I never thought it would be possible, third time lucky, my areolas are the shape and size I have dreamed of, they are...perfect! Every stitch is extremely neat, I am honesty blown away. Both surgeries I was still left with areas reminding me of my tubular breast. Not now and that is only because it was Mr Sivarajan who carried out my procedure. He used the fat transfer to create a more natural cleavage, allowing the breasts to look closer together. Every single member of the Elanic team, I cannot thank enough. Charlene is so helpful and knowledgable, everyone who dealt with my queries, the anaesthetist, nurse and theatre practitioner I had on the day were so organised, everything was precisely planned and everything explained to me. In the lead up to my surgery I contacted Vivek regularly as I was nervous and had many questions, he was so quick in responding to me and put my mind at ease. I could go on forever! Thank you to everyone at Elanic. And to anyone looking for a surgeon, please do not look any further! Get the outcome you want!!
I had surgery on the 7th of April 2021 with Vivek!! My whole experience with the girls and Vivek was excellent. I was very nervous about the surgery but the girls made me feel at ease and I knew I had made the right decision. I had also done a lot of research into the surgery and went to a number of clinics in Glasgow and didn’t feel happy with the information they provided. Vivek and the team at Elanic gave me all the information I needed and answered all my questions. The girls on reception were always so friendly and happy to help. I’m so glad with my decision and can’t thank the team enough. I’m looking forward to seeing the end results.
I, like many, have been considering implants for years due to the unevenness of my breasts. Lockdown gave me a lot of time for thinking and I guess now was the time! I spoke to a few providers but knew Elanic from word of mouth and working in Glasgow so gave them a call. From the start all the staff were so friendly and helpful. I had a phone consultant with Mr Sirvarajan during which we discussed my photos, options and risks. After this I scheduled a face to face consultation and got to see my own 3D scan which was really helpful! Given the size difference I was able to get my surgery with some of the recent Covid restrictions still in place - NHS would have most likely covered my surgery but has a very long wait and I’m lucky enough to be able to pay. We decided on an uplift on my bigger breast with 225cc implant, while 300cc would be placed in my smaller breast and the crease lowered slightly to try and even up my nipples more. My surgery day my dedicated nurse Lisa was so so nice. We got chatting straight away about everything from walking, oat cakes, IKEA furniture and the joy of tea! I was in at 10am and I was back home for 2pm at the latest. Everyone was brilliant and I had regular contact with nurses. I was lucky that Lisa was back on when I went in for my one week update so I got to see a friendly face again. I’m not three weeks later and I don’t think I’m used to having boobs yet! I know there are a few more weeks of recovery and settling to come but I’m really happy with them. Once I can get back to my beloved running then I think I’ll be back to normal! I’ll try and keep updating my photos if that helps anyone :) Updated on 21 May 2021: I am loving my new boobs! I’m back at the gym, back running and my nipple sensitivity is finally calming down. I had a few spitting stitches but the nurses at Elanic sorted that right out for me. A lot softer now and just getting used to buying all these clothes I want now!
Fantastic result so pleased and the care I received from elanic was second to none. I originally got just lipo but it left me with sagging skin at bottom so I got this cut away and a little more lipo.
I have already had a tummy tuck and lipo and I’m booked in with the same doctor for next week for my BBL. I am so excited :) I just can’t wait to be able to wear jeans and tight dresses :) I’m not looking forward to the recovery. Not sitting on my bum for 4 weeks will be difficult. I’m booked in at 3 on Wednesday. I’m getting my Botox and lips done first and then the opp. I’ve only taken a week off to recover which I think I’m going to regret.
Vivek really has made a brilliant job of my breast augmentation. I was about a 32A/B before and now I'm probably about a D. It's exactly what I wanted to achieve. We've had a few complications in respect to stitch absesses but this doesn't reflect on his work. Prior to visiting vivek I had a consultation with another firm and I have to say it felt so rushed and I came away really uneasy but really wanted the procedure. I felt completely at ease with Vivek, he has a lovely manner about him.
Hi, you faint lines are unlikely to be cause by the home IPL machine. Lines may occur due to sun damage or smoking. I would advise you to use facto 50 sun screen and avaoid sun exposure as the best way of preventing fine lines. Neither home nor salon/clinic IPL machines are successful at 'real' long lasting hair removal. The IPL energy doesn't penetrate the skin deep enough to damage the hair growing cells. Laser based systems in comparison will give 80-89% reduction in hair density which lasts years and would need topped up one a year. IPL systems are really no better than waxing. The benefit of commercial IPL machines over home ones is in the quality of their filters which means less unwanted light wavelengths and therefore less complications like pigment change. Home machines tend to be less powerful to get over this limitation, further reducing their effectiveness.
Hi, Further CO2 laser treatment is probably your best treatment to improve skin texture, however, I would recommend a more powerful CO2 laser, either the CORE or Ultrapulse laser systems may give you more improvement.
Hi, thanks for your question. With breast reduction it is possible to reduce the breast size hugely, however a certain amount of breast tissue must be kept to keep the nipples alive. This amount generally gets bigger with the initial size of the breasts, so it may not be possible to get you all the way down to A/B. However, this depends on the measurements taken at your consultation with a surgeon. Also, you may require a technique called a free nipple graft. in which case it is more possible to get you down to A/B size. This, does, however man the nipples are removed from the breast and put back on. You may lose all or part of them and they are likely to look different and have no feeling. I hope this helps
Hi, It is difficult to tell from the photos and measurement whether you definitely would need an uplift. I would be able to tell if i examined you and sometimes there can be options depending upon what you want to achieve. Did you have 3D imaging and modelling carried out? This can help to visualise your results and look at options. I always do this for patients and have carried out hundreds of uplifts with implants. It might help to ask your surgeon how often he carries out uplifts with implants. Its technically difficult so you should go to someone doing them weekly. It never hurts to get another opinion, particularly if you are unsure.RegardsVivek
Hi, Thanks for your question, Generally speaking a free nipple graft is required when the movement of the nipple during a breast reduction is too far to be kept alive by a stalk of breast tissue under the nipple. Whilst there isn't a definite distance either from the collar bone to the nipple or a distance of how far the nipple will travel a recent study of free nipple graft procedures found that they are generally required when over 1.5kg of breast tissue needs to be removed from each breast. Maybe you could as your surgeon how much he is planning to remove? Unfortunately a free nipple graft leaves an areola which may lose colour, loses all feeling and loses the projection of the nipple to some degree. You can also lose the entire nipple, although this is rare. As with all breast reductions only you can weigh up the risks of the procedure against living with the large breasts that you have. I hope this helps and if you are unsure about the procedure it never hurts to have other opinions.
