I had 1 ml of restylane in my tear troughs, although they improved slightly i am still aware they are there, my dc told me he could not do any more as it was a dangerous area to fill. How much is actually safe? I would ideally love to see them gone completely , not sure if any thing else can be done?
Answer: How Much Restylane Under the Eyes? Hi Marion. If we used only 1 syringe of Restylane for all of our tear trough patients, we would have a lot of unhappy patients. We use up to 2 syringes of Restylane in a visit but over two visits have done as many as 3-4 syringes for those with profound volume loss. Swelling is a key issue in limiting the number of syringes per visit. It sounds like your injector may not be getting good information or may not be very experienced. Best of luck.

Answer: Restylane Based upon your photo, you had a good result following the injection of Restylane to your tear trough. If you inject too much, you might experience a bubbling of the product in that area. Once the product settles in, in a few weeks, if you are still concerned about your results, I would make an appointment with your doctor to discuss. Good luck!

Answer: This is exactly the reason why I prefer to use autologous fat grafting as it provides complete correction of the tear troughs Than you for your question! Your doctor is correct in the fact that when there's too much hyaluronic acid filler you start to form bags in your eyelids and the filler starts to shift. This is exactly the reason why I prefer to use autologous fat grafting as it provides complete correction of the tear troughs with no ill effects of the hyaluronic acid fillers.

Answer: You look good Although we don’t have a pre-op photo of your trough, your post-op looked great. How long ago was the Restylane placed? If it hasn’t been two weeks then give it time. Usually it takes about two week for the fillers to settle in and any swelling or bruising to heal. Less is more. Fillers under the troughs will not create a perfect result but should only improve your situation. Want to create a subtle change and not a overdone look.
