Hair transplant in Istanbul in may 2018. I contacted the surgery if they could do anything about the over harvesting and they seem to just offer me drugs such a minoxidil and finestride to thicken my hair. What’s the best thing to do to thicken my hair since it’s very thin and also is there anything I can do to cover my scarring from donor area
Answer: Suitable Case For Hair Transplant Hello firstly thanks for your photos and questions. Your donor area doesn't look that bad. Thanks to the good photos you can tell if it is suitable for a future hair transplantation. Best Regards.

Answer: Hair Transplant Hello, and thank you for your question. Indeed, you can see the over harvested area of your scalp. There are a number of ways to go about this: You could undergo another hair transplant, but using donor areas from your chest, beard, etc. instead of the scalp. This has proven to be a successful approach. Or, you could consider micro-pigmentation. SMP, or scalp micropigmentation, is a painless procedure that uses highly specialized equipment and unique techniques to carefully and expertly inject all-natural, color-tailored pigments into the scalp creating a completely natural look of the patient’s hairline. A typical procedure involves an initial consultation and two pigmentation sessions to achieve the desired results. You can wash your head the fourth day after the treatment and, during that time, avoid any strenuous activity that will prompt undesired sweating. Once the procedure is complete, the results of a Scalp Micropigmentation treatment can last up to five years Gary Linkov, MD Hair Specialist Manhattan

Answer: Scalp micro pigmentation or smp Dear patient , the only value for money option given the outcome of the donor area, is scalp micro pigmentation. It I’ll improve the appearance and you won’t have to worry anymore. Best of luck

Answer: Over-harvesting I'm really sorry about this happened to you. From your photos, you may consider getting the SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation) to conceal the scars over the donor site and grow your hair longer to hide the over-harvested area.

Answer: Treating over harvested area. I am sorry this happened to you. As a Hair Transplant provider I am always cautious about over harvesting. This issue is personal to me because I had hair transplant myself over 10 years ago and suffered from over harvested area, and my procedure was done in USA! In the last 10 years I became trained and certified in Hair Transplant. When performing the procedure I always make sure to inject both the transplanted and the harvested area with PRP mixed with Acell, a product which induces stem cells and helps regenerate hair. This has particularly helped the harvested area to recover well. At this time for you I would suggest to find a local hair consultant and try PRP/stem cell induction with injections and micro needling of your harvested area. Over multiple treatments you may improve the density of your own natural hair in your harvested area.
