Why is one of my areola puffy after a breast lift? (photos)

I had a breast lift 5 weeks ago. So far I am happy with the results, apart from one of my areolas is puffy. Will this eventually go down? Or will this need a revision at some point?

Thank you for your question and photos.  You have significant ptosis or breast sag was well as large breasts.  A lift vs a reduction is really a personal decision.  If you are having back and neck discomfort, a reduction will typically help alleviate some (but not all) of that...

I agree with you about the vertical scars being a 'deal breaker'. As a plastic surgeon, the vertical incision down the center of the lower pole of the breast is unacceptable. You certainly sound like a good candidate for a breast lift - which would likely use an anchor type incision.  That being said, timing of surgery has to do with a number of factors - really too many to list... Best to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.
