Will a 10 pound weight gain after full tummy tuck stretch my muscle repair?

Thank you for your question.  Though petite, this amount of weight is unlikely to dramatically effect your TT results in a negative way.  

It does not sound like this type of weight gain is going to have much of a negative effect on your tummy tuck.  It also sounds like the weight gain was suggested for health reasons.

In your case, gaining weight up to a normal level, will not negatively effect the results of your tummy tuck.  Your muscle repair will not be stretched out.

By gaining weight, you are adding fuel to the healing process at a time when it is needed most. This is not necessary for someone who has excess weight, but you certainly do not. Your surgeon wants to be sure that you have enough of the components for strong tissue healing. You can lose the weight later if you decide that you feel better at a lighter weight.

A ten pound weight gain will not add a significant amount visceral fat (fat around the organs and inside the rectus muscles) which is the fat that can cause separation of the rectus muscles.  The fat will be distributed across the entire body.  It usually requires a pregnancy or large weight gain (greater than 50 pounds) to significantly affect the rectus muscles.

Gaining or losing 10 pounds after plastic surgery procedures shouldn't have any bearing on the results. Nothing to worry about here.
