Can I fly with a hernia ?

my gp thinks that i could have a hernia ,the pain is in the lower right side by the groings, i cant feel the lump but the pain is there and there is a pain in my riht leg. my appointment with a surgent is not umtill the end of October.my parthner suprized me with a holiday ,but i will meed to fly 5hours.is it safe to fly?i would appreciate any answer!!
