I received breast implants in 2022 and Dr. Boswell was nothing but professional. When I came in for my consultation he was extremely knowledgeable and answered every question I had thoroughly. I have done lots of research on breast augmentation and he really exceeded my expectations. The surgery after care was easy and no complications and very little scaring, you can't see it unless I show you. I am having a consultation in a few weeks for lipo and I am so glad I already trust and approve of Dr. Boswell's work .

Dr Boswell and his staff are amazing. They take time to listen to any concerns or questions you may have and handle them on a personal level that’s best for you. They are patient and understanding and allow you to make your own decisions based on the information you have and what you are comfortable with. Dr Boswell does amazing work. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr. Boswell did an amazing job on my tummy tuck, muscle repair and lipo. I was one of the few who unfortunately experienced a hematoma. Dr. Boswell and his staff were incredibly caring and supportive during the whole ordeal. Dr. Boswell assured me the hematoma was only a hiccup in the grand scheme of things and he was right. I am so grateful I found him to help make my dream body come true.

I found Dr. Boswell here on RealSelf and reached out requesting a consultation. He called me that same morning and got me in to the office for a consultation. I expressed my desire to have my saline implants removed under local if possible. He examined my breast and said he could remove them in office under local.
The moment I got the lift and implants six years ago I knew I had made a huge mistake. I think I would've been happy with the lift; the implants never felt right and were uncomfortable. I wasn't able to swim because the implant was under the muscle and I lost a lot of upper body strength. It affected my ability to take a deep breath and to sleep well. I've spent the last six years trying to hide my breast due to their size. When I initially got them I had not intended to let anyone know, but they were so big I felt like everyone knew. I've been beating myself up for this wrong move for 6 years. I'm ready to get back to my real self.
Dr Boswell was kind and did not try to talk me into a lift. Jamie who is part of his support staff was very kind and thorough and showed me images of explants Dr. Boswell had performed without a lift. Every single image that I saw the breast looked better than with the implants. Shout out to all those ladies who allowed their pictures to be used because you have helped me. I do not have high expectations of how my breast will look post explant but I am hopeful that in time they will come around.
My explant date is December 17th! I'm incredibly grateful to have them out by my 50th birthday. What a beautiful gift to myself.

Bye bye huge boobs. I wish I could say you had been good friends but alas we part ways. Extremely excited, and a little bit nervous and looking forward to this all being over. I’m so grateful to the woman who posted about having her explant done under local anesthesia on TicTok. if it wasn’t for her, this would not be happening today because it probably would’ve taken me three years to be able to afford the surgery under general anesthesia. Plus I did not want to go under again so again very grateful to her.

The procedure itself lasted approximately 45 minutes and was an absolute breeze. The only discomfort I felt was the initial shot to numb my breast and it wasn’t painful at all. In fact, a dental shot hurts far more. As soon as the first saline implant came out I could immediately breathe deeper. When he took the second one out, I took the deepest breath I’ve taken in six long years. It felt so good when they came out. They added an additional 2 pounds to carry. I wish I wold have explanted sooner but I didn’t know removing under local was a possibility. Dr Boswell did me excellent job. No drains or stitches to remove. I took the pain killers after the procedure but after a good night’s sleep I feel great and will move to Tylenol. Dr Boswell’s support staff is absolutely awesome. Thank you Jamie For holding my hand and comforting me during the procedure. Dr Boswell is lucky to have you.
I highly recommend Dr Boswell and could not be happier. I keep looking in the mirror in disbelief. ???? Thank you for giving my confidence back Dr. Boswell.

I still have to pinch myself to know this is real. I had imagined my breast would look terrible and deformed after removing those huge bags but to my surprise, they look great. Sleeping on my side again is awesome. It was so uncomfortable when I had my implants in. I cannot believe how much better I can breathe. It I’ll be interesting to see if they come up a bit more in the coming weeks.

Dr Boswell and team did an excellent job. I never imagined it could be this easy. The appointment lasted 45 minutes. The only slight discomfort I felt was when he numbed me and it was easier than a dental shot. He made an incision into my original scars below the flap and then another small incision into the capsule where he took the implants out. Immediately upon removal I could take the deepest breath I've taken in 6 years. Finally free. Im very pleased with how they look. Jamie at the office said they'll come up a bit in the coming weeks. Even if they didn't I'd be happy. For reference, I'm 5'6 and weigh 145 pounds. I had saline 365 cc and 385 cc (I think) under the muscle. I did have a lift when I got my implants but have no plans for another lift. I will continue to update my profile o document changes.

Went to my one week follow up appointment yesterday and everything is healing well. Dr. Boswell’s took off the tape and removed the single stitch under each breast. I’m not allowed to exercise for another two weeks because he wants the pocket to close to avoid a Hematoma . Because I had saline implants for six years, my capsules were not very thick. In two weeks he may let me ride the stationary bike, but I can’t exercise for a full 6 weeks. I’m ok taking my time and allowing time for the pocket to close.
Since getting them out my anxiety is completely gone. I never linked my anxiety to my breast implants and still don’t know if it’s tied to them but I’ll take it. I’m sleeping longer and better. I love trying on my shirts because they all fit so much better. Things are good!

I never thought my breast implants cause me any trouble other than discomfort, unwanted attention from men and just overall loathing my breast. Since I’ve had them removed, my chronic daily anxiety is gone. I have not been anxious once and this is mine blowing considering the level of anxiety I had every single day of my life. Another thing that I had not attributed to my breast implants was joint stiffness. Since removal my joints seem o be moving better. I’m over the moon happy with my decision to remove them. If you are thinking about getting breast implants, I highly advise you to look at reviews of people who have had them more than five years. I think most women initially are happy with how they look but in time they begin to sag and they’re heavy and come with a whole bunch of down falls. Happy to newer our questions.

Today in my follow up i was ok’d to take bath again and cold not be happier about that. My incision is closed completely now. I was also okayed to lift up to 20 pounds, which is up from 10 pounds. I’m still not able to workout but hopefully in two weeks I’ll be cleared to ride the stationary bike and then two weeks from then fully cleared to go o gym. Even though I feel great, Dr. Boswell wants to give my body time to close the pocket where the breast implant was. If I do anything strenuous that raises my heart rate a capillary vein could break and cause a hematoma. I’m taking my time and following orders.
Mentally and physically I feel great. I wish I would’ve removed them sooner had I known it would be this easy. I still have not had any anxiety which I was having daily with implants and my right arm no longer goes numb and gets the tingles. I think the reason that my anxiety was so bad with implants was because I could never really get a good deep breath. Explanting was the best money I have ever spent and I’m very happy with Dr. Boswell and his team.

I absolutely cannot believe that I have not had any anxiety since having my breast implants were removed. I really believe that they make it difficult to take a deep breath and that is why so many women experience anxiety. I’m sleeping on my stomach again and in general just sleeping so much better. I’ve lost about 5 pounds since explanting as well. My posture is also better as I’m no longer hunching over trying to hide them. When I had my breast implants in and I pushed my shoulders back, they felt ginormous so I didn’t stand as tall. Every time I look in the mirror I smile and I am filled with gratitude for Dr. Boswell and team. I went from a D and sometimes DD cup back to a B cup.

I’m impressed how well my breast tissue has contracted. I suppose I had imagined the worst possible scenario which was excessive sagging. I’m 50 years old for reference. I’m surprised I still have breast. Looking forward o getting back to the gym and yoga. I’m so happy!

I went to my last follow up appointment for at least six more weeks and was cleared to start riding the stationary bike again. In on more week I can go back to working out. Hallelujah!
It doesn’t seem like my breast have come up that much more since the last time I was there but I’m thrilled with how they look like now. Dr. Boswell said I can expect them to lift up a little bit more. The initial lift when I got my implants worked and made them look better than pre implants and lift. Super happy with my decision . Dr Boswell did an excellent job and really is a wonderful doctor.

Here I am three months post Explant and feeling wonderful. I don’t know that my breast have fluffed up much but I’m extremely happy with how they look. I don’t experience night sweats or hot flashes as much as I did when I had them and my anxiety is still gone. This will likely be my last update as I don’t anticipate much changing. Dr Boswell and his staff have been amazing! From the very beginning, with the consultation to now 2 weeks post op, they have been incredible with answering any questions I have or being thorough with my follow up appointments. I had a body lift + breast lift done. Dr Boswells' care and attention has made this process go smoothly! Jamie his staff assistant is WONDERFUL and I'm SO happy I chose him to help with removing my excess skin!! Thank you!

From before I had my consult with Dr. Boswell, he called me directly to speak with me about any questions or interest I showed. I then set up a consult with him. His team especially Jamie was so personable and genuine. I had set up a previous appointment with another doctors but canceled after meeting with Dr. Boswell because he seemed thorough and passionate. He also called me personally on a weekend to check in with me to see how I was doing after my surgery. Those “little” things were a HUGE deal for me.

I had a mommy makeover and my results have exceeded my expectations. Dr Boswell is an AMAZING surgeon and he reshaped my body almost as if he knew what I looked like when I was 19 yrs old! Eventhough I was 40# lighter in 1989, my post op results make my husband look at me like he did before two 9.5# babies and before years of putting everything & everyone before my own self care.
I am still baffled why so many RealSelf members fly to NY or Miami or LA and pay $$$$ when a highly skilled and experienced board certified surgeon (Dr Boswell) does such outstanding work for less $, and in some cases, more personal attention. I don’t usually write reviews but Dr Boswell is so incredibly talented that I feel the need to share the reasons why I chose him above other PS’s and why my PO experience has been positive:
- He is down to earth (helps calm the nerves)
- He speaks in terms everyone can
understand
- I never feel rushed. From my initial consult and every visit since, Dr Boswell takes as much time as I need.
- He recommends what is proven scientifically. His research background combined with years of surgical experience make for a great patient experience and outcome.
- He has a wonderful bedside manner
- He called me shortly post op over weekend to check on me and see if I had questions
- He allows me to email him directly if I have questions or concerns and he answers promptly!
- I have regular visits and am invited to come in ANY time (so many RealSelf members seem to have trouble reaching their PS post op!)
- His staff is wonderful and accommodating. Melissa and Jamie have been great answering questions and making suggestions.
- Dr Boswell never makes me feel silly for asking questions
Last, my husband didn’t think I needed surgery but my new body has certainly made both of us happy ...he jokes he might just send Dr B a thank you card!

Dr. Boswell is so down to earth yet knowledgeable and a very skilled surgeon. His whole team is amazing. He also has impeccable judgement when it comes to the procedure needed. I have trusted him completely from start to finish.

My experience with Dr. Boswell was and has been outstanding!! Extremely professional and makes every visit warm and pleasant... I actually enjoy going in for my visits... Oh.... and his Assistants Jamie and the other nurse have been so so pleasant.. Super Staff!!

The death of both parents, my husband, my grandma, plus 4 dogs, over the past 6 years had taken a huge toll on my face. A 120+ weight loss didn’t help either. I had Juvederm today and am very happy with the results so far! Pictures mid September and today after getting it done.
