Safety is the number one priority in surgery. In order to determine if you are a good candidate for surgery schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. During this important meeting you will discuss your concerns, review your medical history, and learn more about the procedure. Your surgeon will advise if you are a good candidate for the procedures. It is impossible to eliminate all risk from surgery, but with careful screening and preparation the risks can be kept to a minimum.

While there are risks with any surgical procedure, they are extremely low when performed in an accredited operating room by a board certified plastic surgeon. You should discuss your concerns with your surgeon for further reassurance. 

It isn't unusual to experience some pre-op anxiety. My best advice would be to call your surgeon to discuss your fears. Maybe even speak with the anesthesiologist. Complications from surgery are rare. Especially when you see a board certified plastic surgeon. My best,
