Is there anything I can do to get my top lip to not look like this? I have been icing quite frequently. Can I reverse the injection? I have an event tomorrow night. Will my lips still look like this? Please help!
Answer: Filler You should start out with 1cc of juvederm filler or restylane filler and go from there. You do not want to overdo too much filler in the lips. It also depends on the look you are going for too. You can always add more filler to the lips if needed. Just remember if you are going to do your lips and you do not want to bruise you should not take any aspirins or anything that will thin the blood since brusing can occur. One syringe is typically $550.

Answer: Duck Lips after Lip Injections Yes, swelling can be typical following lip fillers. It can take 1-2 weeks for final results. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase. I hope this helps!

Answer: Swelling After Lip Filler Injections Hello,Swelling is very typical and expected after lip injections and can be managed best with resting the mouth, elevating your head, avoiding high impact activity and consistently applying ice for 48 hrs. Generally after two days there is significant improvement and so rushing to dissolve the product may be hasty. (Dissolving injections will only add to your swelling). Patience and a little nude lip color for your event can help minimize the appearance of fullness until they are more settled.Warm regards,Dr. Pedy Ganchi Village Plastic Surgery

Answer: I got my lips done yesterday and my top lip sticks out too much. I look like a duck. Please help Thank you for sharing your question and photographs and congratulations on your lip augmentation! Swelling after filler placement into the lips is quite common due to the thin nature of the tissues. This swelling, and your results, will steadily improve over the next 10-14 days. It often takes up to 2 weeks for fillers to soften and the tissues to appear more natural. In the meantime try reducing the swelling by using cold compresses to your lips and elevating your head at night with a couple of extra pillows behind your back. You may want to also consider using Arnica Montana and bromelain as supplements. Hang in there!

Answer: Lip swelling after injection Lips will swell for several days after lip augmentation. You need to wait 2 weeks to see what the final result is. IF needed, the filler can be removed with hyaluronidase. In general, though, patients are surprised on how much the lips go down after a few days. Patience! Hope you will be happy with the results.
