I’m 6wpo today, I’m so concerned with the obviously dimple/indent above my belly button. I didn’t have dimpling before. I’m told the dimple will go away It was also suggested that area is my natural bend in my belly, there should be fat to bounce back the bend. I’m messaging, rolling, using tummy board /foam and compression.

Answer: Liposuction results Dear aylissa,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a liposuction surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Liposuction Issues Aylissa Sorry you are having this issue and while it is still quite early in your postoperative journey, there does appear to be a fairly significant contour irregularity present. A good part of this may improve as swelling subsides and healing continues. Please wait the full six months before considering any type of revision to allow the best possible results for you. If your surgeon refuses to consider revision after six months, acquire a second opinion from a board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.
