Is warm water bottle massage advised at 2 weeks after liposuction?

Dear Liza2018,we offer complimentary Venus Legacy Radio Frequency Treatments after liposuction to help with fluid mobilization but every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Liza.  It sounds like you are experiencing normal postoperative swelling and early, temporary scar formation under the skin. I recommend only gentle self massage with moisturizer and simply let the healing process continue and the firmness will eventually resolve on its own. Confirm my advice with your board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.

All type of heat treatment (including sauna, jacuzzi, hot water bags, etc) should be avoid completely after liposuction or any type of plastic surgery because the heat will cause more swelling. Ask your doctor. Dr. Cardenas
