I am looking to get a lip lift and rhinoplasty. I have been told to do the nose job first but I kind of want to see if my lip lift would improve my appearance so I don't need it. What should I do? I would get a open rhinoplasty

Answer: Lip lift and rhinoplasty Thanks for your question. Lip lifting and rhinoplasty can be performed together or separately. There is more risk when they are done together, but that is not to say that some surgeons don't perform them successfully together. Lip lifting can also more easily be done with local anesthesia in the clinic setting with relatively little down time. If you are considering both but on the fence, I encourage patients to prioritize the one thing that bothers them the most and do that. 1. If that is successful and fixed everything for you, then you are done! 2. If its successful but you still want the other (in this case rhinoplasty), then you will undoubtedly return with the same surgeon and have the second surgery - nothing is lost in this scenario. Neither of these procedures is mutually exclusive or tightly co-dependent on the other. You can successfully perform them in any order and at any time you want. Hope that helps.

Answer: Preoperative protocol Dear Bright810693, every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.
