I am interested in getting a breast augmentation. I plan on reaching out to a few surgeons to get some feedback. My breasts have sagged a bit from having children and breastfeeding. Do I need a lift or can I just get the implants below the muscle and still get good results?
Answer: Breast implants Hi, thank you for sharing your question. It’s difficult to say based on photos alone but you seem to be a good candidate for breast implants alone without a lift. Discuss your options with your board certified plastic surgeon

Answer: Lift Since one breast is sagging more than the other, you will need a lift. With no lift, you will have the same difference between your breasts as you have now.

Answer: Breast lift Dear renpen12, determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs. Answer: Breast lift It appears that your nipples are located below your breast fold, therefore a lift would be recommended.

Answer: Lift or just implants? Thank you for your question and for uploading the photographs. Your breasts present some minor degree of laxity and asymmetry (entirely normal). Due to the width of your breasts, I believe the your implants should not be too small, otherwise they would not be able to allow you to achieve the desired cosmetic result. Trust the judgement of the surgeon you have selected and make sure you have a long and thorough conversation so that he/she is aware of what you would like to achieve.
