I am over the moon with my results with Dr. Biggerstaff! As a middle-aged female who has been morbidly obese my entire adult life, my massive weight loss journey of over 100 pounds culminated in a series of surgeries to remove excess skin from my arms, thighs, and breasts that greatly impacted my activity level and outlook. With a comorbidity of type II diabetes and no previous experience with how a healthy-weight body should look, I had trepidations prior to my consult. I needn't have worried...Dr. Biggerstaff, from moment one, put me at ease, talked me through my options, and ultimately helped me decide how and when to progress with my procedures. Now that my surgeries have been completed, I can't begin to express how happy I am with Dr. Biggerstaff's advice, suggestions, and skill, as well as by the professionalism of the entire staff from the reception desk to the nurses to the surgical staff. My body finally represents the hard work I've put into it, and Aesthetic Surgical Images will forever be in my heart as a result!
I recently had the pleasure of working with Dr. Biggerstaff for a breast augmentation and mastopexy procedure, and I cannot express how satisfied I am with the results. From the first consultation to the post-op appointments, Dr. Biggerstaff and his team provided exceptional care and guidance. During the initial consultation, Dr. Biggerstaff took the time to listen to my concerns and desires, and he thoroughly explained the procedure and what to expect. This helped me feel confident and comfortable with my decision to move forward with the surgery. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Biggerstaff and his team made sure I was comfortable and at ease. They walked me through each step of the process and answered any last-minute questions I had. Dr. Biggerstaff’s attention to detail and precision during the surgery were impressive, and I could tell he truly cares about achieving the best results for his patients. After the surgery, I was amazed by the results. My breasts looked natural and proportionate. I was fearful how my scars would heal after having had a breast reduction prior that left me with very thick scars and now they are almost unnoticeable!! The recovery process was smooth, and Dr. Biggerstaff and his team were always available to answer any questions or concerns I had. They made sure I was healing properly and provided me with tips to ensure a speedy recovery. Dr. Biggerstaff saw me me inbetween surgeries after I had called that morning with a concern. I was embarrassed and didn’t want to waste his time. He made me feel comfortable and told me that I could call anytime with anything and he would make sure I was seen. Not only did Dr. Biggerstaff excel in his surgical skills, but his bedside manner was also exceptional. He was always kind, patient, and professional, making me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. In conclusion, I highly recommend Dr. Biggerstaff for anyone considering a breast augmentation and mastopexy procedure. His expertise, attention to detail, and caring nature make him an outstanding plastic surgeon. I am beyond grateful for the amazing results and the exceptional care I received from Dr. Biggerstaff and his team. Thank you for giving me the confidence I always wanted.

I’ve had such a positive experience. I’m so happy with my results. My recovery has been relatively easy. I have been able to remain active through the entire recovery period and felt that the surgery barely impacted my busy life. I was back to work in a less than a week. My pain was very tolerable, the first 48 hours was the worst. My results are wonderful, I am very pleased with my experience. 100% recommend Dr. Biggerstaff, he is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to & answered all my questions. He and his team provide excellent patient care. To anyone that has been considering cosmetic surgery, don’t wait around any longer, just book the appointment. I highly encourage you to see Dr. Biggerstaff at Asthetic Surgical Images.

I’m so happy I chose De. Biggerstaff and the team at ASI for my breast lift and implants. The consultation was thorough and all of my questions and concerns were addressed. I felt educated about my options and knew what to expect with my procedure and results. I could not be happier with my results (3 months post op) and highly recommend Dr. Biggerstaff.

Hi ccagle21, I suspect your best result would be with a full tummy tuck with liposuction, which would likely achieve the best overall contour, provide the best skin tightening, and allow improvement of the umbilical area. Because of your high belly button, and the fact that your upper abdominal skin does not have severe laxity, there is a chance that you may require a small vertical scar or 'T' scar of your lower abdomen, but I would typically prioritize a lower transverse abdominoplasty scar and accept a small vertical component if needed (which is majority of times still below the bikini line) versus raising the transverse scar. Hope this helps, Thanks, Brian
Hello Lilithlvne, this is a good question, and one of the most common questions we see routinely in cosmetic breast surgery. Really, augmentation mammaplasty and mastopexy are two separate procedures. They are very commonly done together as a combination procedure with good results (combination approach is generally accepted to have a slightly higher revision rate), although there are surgeons out there that prefer to do them staged. Based on your pictures, it appears that you have grade I breast ptosis, which means your nipple position is approximately at the level of the lower breast crease. Not infrequently, in borderline cases such as yours, I will discuss with patients the option placing the implants only and only do a lift (typically at 6 months post-op) if needed. There is a reasonable chance you will need a lift in addition to implant (if I had to guess a very rough number, maybe 40-60%), but I am often surprised by how often a patient does not end up needing a lift. Alternatively, if patients prefer only one surgical procedure, they can opt to go ahead with augmentation and lift, however I am careful to counsel them that there is a slightly higher revision rate with a combination procedure, so there is a chance they would have two surgeries anyway. For whatever their worth, two additional points I would make: 1) I am always surprised by how little patients are bothered by the extra scars for a breast lift, and 2) I would not recommend picking an implant volume based on trying to fill out the breast envelope, but rather pick a size that achieves your volume goals. Hope this helps. Thanks, Brian

Hello johnfm, occasionally, direct excision of the glandular breast tissue from the area under the areola can leave a deficiency of soft tissue, especially in cases where the mass is relatively. It's not corrected, once healing occurs, and the swelling goes down. You can end up with some nipple depression. The goal is to create a relatively smooth contour by closing multiple layers, and in some cases, this involves some rearrangement of the nearby fat. Based on your photo, you do appear to be a candidate for revision, although an examination would be required to be sure, and also to determine the best method of revision. Likely, the same incision could be used to re-elevate the areola, rearrange some of the fat tissue to fill in the soft tissue deficit. There is a possibility, if the tissues are not too tethered by scar, that you may have some improvement with fat grafting, which would be slightly less than invasive, but in my mind the best result would be revision through the original incision. Hope this helps, Brian
Hello bdubs2, each surgeon is different and most are very picky in general, but in my practice (and I would guess the majority of practices) I would be alright with proceeding with a plastic piercing retainer. I would double check with your surgeon to be sure he or she is alright with it, however. That way there are no surprises the morning of surgery. Hope this helps. Thanks, Brian.
